Doing nothing? Probably not worth it, but completing quest? Maybe...
i know a guy like that.
“Tamsen Roam is now following you.”
And you guys cried about 4 mana 7/7 overload (2).
4 mana 9/9 no overload gg -_-
The difference being that the "4 mana 7/7" was part of a highly effective Aggro deck, played on curve, meaning it had board before dropping that. For Warlock this means doing nothing for the first 3 turns, and effectively the first 4 turns, since it has no immediate impact.
Now imagine doing that versus (Demon) Hunter. "gg" indeed, my friend.
In wild handlock (running giants) is actually quite strong and common.
This card is another pay off for their playstyle and not to mention it is even, which means genn is in play here (1 mana hero powers)
Now granted this is wild and most people play standard. No matter the format, Warlock is good at drawing cards. And no matter the deck, a four mana card that summons an overstated minion is bound to make an impact when played on curve.
It's not 4 mana 9/9 no overload. It's
Turn 1 do nothing
Turn 2 tap -2 health
Turn 3 tap -2 health
Turn 4 4 mana 9/9 no overload
Shaman got to do a whole lot before that 4 mana 7/7 overload (2)
Could be nuts in Even Warlock; following up a turn 3 Giant with this on 4.
So basically the original version of Twilight Drake without the initial 1/1. I hope they push more Handlock synergies since it’s a cool archetype.
twilight Drake had +1 HP but always only 4 Attack
No, he was a 1/1 that gained +1+1. Not for long tho.
Thus "original version". It was originally a 1/1 that gained attack and health, but was changed to a 4/1 that only gained health very early in the game's lifespan.
lets think like this. you play new weapon and discount your hand for 2. in turn 6 you play 2×9/9 and a flesh giant, 2 Neophite, 1 Robes of Protection. it must be gg
I don't know how do i feel about this card, a giant is good on 4 but then i think at Aggro, Control and every other thing that can beat it, plus what's the deck who'll you put it in?
A better Twilight Drake, seems lit
It's OK. Not very impactful unless you get it out early, in which case it's still just a big pile of numbers.
I'm sure it will see play, especially with Tamsin Roame, but it's far from OP.
So Mountain Giant but with fewer cards the stats get smaller instead of the cost being bigger. Not sure how I feel about that.
O_O
Should be 5 mana!
Move over 4 mana 7/7, the 4 mana 9/9 is here
Shades of Abyssal Summoner which saw play. That card saw play based on the taunt the minion had though and this one does not have that.
