its good, but whats the good deathrattles, unless this is going to be ANOTHER expansion where they force DR rogue, except its too good (like last time) and they nerf it into irrelevance in 2 weeks
Nah, this seems more like a tempo rogue card to me. Probably run it with some tempo-based deathrattles.
Something like this:

(Super rough draft)
It's 8 face dmg for 4 mana. Nuff said.
Why are 90% of the comments here talking about wild combos? Do people not play standard anymore?
Rattlegore? Sherazin, Corpse Flower? Lucentbark?
not that these would be particularly good, just wonder how it would work
Immortal Prelate?
build your own kingsbane
with sherazin will it make weapon go dormant? or just summon a sherazin?
It's pretty good, but it requires the deathrattle you're targeting to have already triggered, so it's slower than it seems.
Epic comment haha
Looks like crap, feels like crap and not to call a sheep well you know a sheep but.... Class needs a reprint of Sap just like druid has a reprint of savage roar and a reprint of innervate and nourish. Getting trash deatrahttle sinergy cards will keep it in the lower half of the overall class ranking totem.
Anubarak shenanigans could be fun
Might be fun with Mecha'thun
If Mecha'thun's deathrattle has been triggered, it's already over lol :D
"Double kill!"
Good point, but my idea was to protect Mecha'thun from disruption because weapons are harder to disrupt when in hand then a minion and typically the opponent always knows when your Mecha'thun is in hand because of Anka, but it's probably much easier to just win haha.
The card says "gain a random friendly deathrattle that triggered this game." If you play Mecha'thun and it dies while you still have cards in hand, it's deathrattle doesn't trigger, so if the wording is consistent this couldn't get it's effect. Blizzard is sometimes a bit inconsistent with their card texts, but I'd be very surprised if this worked.
Hmm, I thought conditional deathrattle effects always "trigger", regardless of whether their conditions are satisfied, because I thought the triggering itself was what caused the condition to be tested.
Edit: thanks to Sternish and Thanatos 2k for confirming
That's not true. If Mecha'thun dies, his deathrattle goes off regardless, as does any deathrattle. It checks to see if the conditions are met and if so, activates the effect. If not, then it doesn't. But the deathrattle still went off. You could certainly kill off Mecha'thun earlier in the game then get his deathrattle on the weapon.
No, you could play mechathun early and let the opponent kill it, then play this once your deck is empty and trigger it with your hero power.
Opponent thought they won when they killed your mechathun earlier when it was a trap.
Thanks to Thanatos2k and Sternish for confirming. Thought maybe I just misunderstood the mechanics at first
But I mean, there are FAR better combos that allow you to trigger it in one turn with cards like Anka, the Buried so there's very little reason to use this. Unless it gets like...Dirty Ratted or something.
