On the upside, it will always hit its target... Am I right?
Blizz thinks the opposite word of "increase" isn't "decrease" but somehow instead "reduce" as per the card text.. the statline doesn't really justify this anyway
You'd have to be mental to use this card.
What if it lowers by 1 for sure, then 50% chance to raise it by 1. So, you'd have a 50/50 split of lowering by 1 or doing nothing.
Plot twist: the "50% chance to increase" actually means that the card will get reduced by 2 instead of 1 ;) 5/5 card
another lame ogre card that NO one will use except some adventure, arena or such.
FILLER.
its funner than the other ogres and its effect is unique, so its just bad not filler.
Should be 50% Chance to reduce the Cost of a card in your hand by (1) and probably 2/5 in stats
That there is the 3 drop you don't want to randomly get from other card effects.
The 50% increase are an upside in Wild when u play Medivh and next turn your Ultimate Infestation for 11 Man... oh wait xD
Too risky, will never be played. Will occasionally appear randomly and screw up your game.
Agreed. I believe this should be a 4/5 for 3 Mana in my opinion.
at least for the risk it should have better stats
I fail to understand why this isn't 3/4. The text is not an upside. Even when drafting in arena one will avoid this
So the first filler card of the expansion, mind you it has style. This ain't even a card you would want to draft in Arena, it's under stated and it has a 50% chance of punishing you further. There will be some games where it will just make you lose by making your 4 mana card a 5 drop and a 10 cost card unplayable.
What is the definition of filler cards? To me any card that has any kind of interesting effect, no matter how bad, isn't filler. Filler to me is Worgen Greaser the 4 mana 6/3 no text. Or Barrens Stablehand the 7mana 4/4 summon a Rando beast
The definition of a filler card is one that will never see play, one that is so bad that you wouldn't even want to draft it in Arena. It's normally something with no text like you said but in other instances such as this card the text is so bad coupled with the under stating that there is never a situation where you add this to a deck. They whys well have never even made the card because its unplayable especially with the power creep we have in Hearthstone now. Typically ogre 50/50 cards will have premium stats to compensate for the negative text but for whatever reason they made this the opposite.
Those 50% cards wouldv'e been so much fun if they were actually playable..
Like we need a mass +1/2 buff to all 50% cards (or 1 less mana)
They should lower the percent from 50, but I guess that wouldn't fit with the ogre theme. Maybe add a couple heads to the card art for consistency?
Getting picked by Blizzard for a card reveal and then find out it's that card must feel like getting invited home by the girl of your dreams just to find out she needed someone babysitting her little brother while she's hanging out with her boyfriend.
