So that it doesn't synergize with Tamsin.
Think this is actually very good. Flanking strike was a two-of in every single hunter deck for its entire stay in standard.
As opposed to a 3/3, this not only Simmons a “2/6” with taunt, but can also target face.
I guess what I’m getting at, is if this is considered to be a “clunker” or bad card, as some other people in here are saying, then this sets power level is going to be insane.
Different decks and strategies. Flanking strike was when hunter was actually not pushing face damage and wanted to have DK Rexxar win the game. This card may fit into the self mill quest variety, but I think it’s going to come up short. At 4 mana, there are a lot of targets that will survive, and the two voidwalkers beg to have trampling rhino deliver 8 damage to face on turn five. It just seems like the value of this two-for-one is actually a half and half.
I feel like the only time I’ll go against this, it’ll say *Created by Deck of Lunacy
This might be the first clunker of the set. It’s not bad value, I just think there are better damage cards and better minions to play.
Your definitely right, but with the new quest to deal damage to yourself, having this as an offensive / defense card allows you to wall up and clear for 2 turns at least. Actually seems better than my initial take on it.
Face damage for warlock and 2/6 taunt in stats to follow not bad.
Does not work with Tamsim so I don´t like it
That's... about 4 mana's worth of stuff. I guess. Not exciting but probably not terrible.
4 mana worth of stuff is fairly okay on warlock, even if it'd be a bit weaker on another class, in my opinion. Especially when bundled into a single card, and has the requirement of simply being able to target something. I mean, if you REALLLYY need to, in fringe cases, you can even hit your own face with it to trigger the sidequest progress, and feel a little safer with the 2 taunts guarding you.
