Balance Changes Coming Next Thursday July 15th
Blizzard is planning some balance changes for next week, specifically to Priest and Druid. We should learn about these changes next Wednesday with some patch notes and should see them go live the next day.
We're expecting to have patch notes up for these changes on Wednesday. https://t.co/G9Q2agk7DD

If you call dying from doomhammer with 20 burst damage a game. I mean, are you people serious? I can get why priest is annoying to play against but let's not pretend like aggro decks are any more fun and interactive.
To deal 20 burst off a Doomhammer they need to equip the Doomhammer wait a turn for the Overload to wear off (unless they're at turn 9 or beyond already, which is very late for an aggro deck), and then have two Rockbiter Weapon, a Stormstrike, and a target for the Stormstrike (or a Rockbiter and two Stormstrikes with targets). Like, I'm not denying Shaman is too powerful (it provably is), but they do generally do things that you can stop and allow some measure of counterplay (try to bait their Lurkers, avoiding leaving stuff at exactly 3 health, look for heals off Discover effects, deny them Wack-a-gnoll Hammer targets, put Oozes in your deck, counterpressure them on the Doomhammer overload turn, make good reads on when they have Dunk Tank and when they've corrupted it, taunt up at the right time, etc etc). Druid high rolls are just "screw you, I drew Gibberling, some ramp and a board buff on turn 1, you have now lost the game" - less likely to score a win than Shaman just doing Shaman things, but when they do happen you may as well not be playing anymore - nothing you can do matters.
can nerf stats to 0/1
0/2 giberling would be interesting.
I think with Druid they’re referring more to people having a full board of 8/8 Carnival Clowns out on turn 4/5
That is the card you're mad about? That's the least impactful card in the entire deck.
no its not.
usually i get control but than i am fucked because they spam the board again, i could use my board clear BUT they all come back after aoe
if u would play control, you would understand.
I also think it's more of a control counter, which only makes it really impactful against control decks, while the midrange decks struggle more with gibberling and arbor up :)
The old AoO version used it more as a win con, while I think there're other cards to hate more now.
I play Gibberling Druid (for over a month now) and i understand that my main win con against control is getting a wide board before the mass removals become available. Soul of the forest is too often either weak, when you cannot get a wide enough board, or winmore. Additionally Pride's Fury does the same job better, as it can usually get my minions out of mass removal range, while also providing some damage (and being a viable Solar Eclipse card).
this may be the saddest and nerdiest e-flex i've ever seen
I love when nerfs come around because after all is said and done the cards that will get hit I have 9+ copies of them all waiting to add to my 100k+ dust pile. That’s why I never de anything . My bet is that they will make the discover cards not be able to discover themselves as has been done in the past. Priest isn’t even that good it’s just boring to play against when you have to sit there while the discover cycles endlessly. I pretty much do other things while I play and have for years. Why does everyone get so bent over this game? There is nothing to win and once you collect the legend cardback there is no reason to ever grind it again. I hit d5 doing the quests every month without even trying while I’m at work. I’ve gotten legend just doing the quests as well more than a few times . The ladder isn’t even difficult. When you have every card in the game it’s pretty easy. Bring on those nerfs! The last round of multiple cards that got hit I made over 7k dust !
About time Priest gets a balance patch. I've had enough of seeing 10, 0 cost Renews and 12 Sethekks being summoned on the board in almost every game.
Gonna make Warrior unplayable by nerfing its good matchups, huh.
I hate Shaman so much.
I think Renew would survive a 1 mana bump as long as the healing amount gets buffed too. (2 mana, heal 6 instead of 1 mana, heal 3). Then the card stops being a 1 mana cycle card, but the healing effect stays the same.
Palm Reading I doubt they'll hit, but I think they could change the "Discover a spell" to "Discover a Shadow spell", which would prevent an endless cycle of Palm Reading into Renew or something. But the Renew nerf is almost definitely enough.
Druid... I dunno. Druid has so many pieces to their token deck I'm not sure what you could hit. Gibberling could take a hit I guess, but Token druid's ability to just keep building bigger and more unassailable boards is really strong.
GIve a priest win con for fuck sake.
Good. I am absolutely sick of "Discovered" by dominating games. When you can simply discover all your answers without having to put them in your deck the game is fundamentally broken because you cannot play around anything.
This has been a problem for a long time and sadly they're still making more cards like this for the next expansion, but maybe someone has finally figured out how toxic it is for the game after playing classic Hearthstone and realizing the game never used to be like this and was far better without it.
Renew 2 mana same effect , Apotheosis buff reduced to +1/+2 and Gibberling 2 mana same effect.
So, in other words, you want to destroy all three cards. You do realize there's a difference between nerf and nuke, right?
this is what was posted by some 'pro' players who leak info, it was truth the previous patches so maybe they're right again.
I could not care less who these "pro players" are, nor whether they're right or wrong. My point is making those changes will kill those cards. They will be essentially unplayable.
