ANNOUNCING
United In Stormwind
HEARTHSTONE’S NEWEST EXPANSION
Welcome, adventurer, to Stormwind! This majestic capital city is a testament to all the Alliance stands for. Filled with bustling trade, shiny equipment, epic mounts, and new Questlines, Stormwind is a great place to rest and prepare for the next step in your journey. And prepare you must, as there is hidden danger lurking deep within the castle’s pristine walls. The city cannot and will not fall! Band together with old allies and new friends. Resolute and unyielding we are… United in Stormwind!
United in Stormwind will launch worldwide on August 3 with 135 new collectible cards! You can find the full schedule for card reveals, and see which cards were announced today, by visiting the card library, here. Check back frequently—the list will be updated with new cards as they’re revealed!
New Keyword: Tradeable
Shopkeepers, bakers, and merchants come to Stormwind to peddle their wares while adventurers come to trade away their extra loot. Cards with the new Tradeable keyword can be played like normal, or for the low cost of 1 Mana, swapped with a different card in your deck!
Questlines
An adventure is only as good as the quests you take along the way. All 10 classes will have access to a Questline that highlights the journey of their class’s Mercenary through Stormwind. Questlines are Legendary spells that start in your hand and have three tiers of progression. Get a reward after you complete each step of the Questline, culminating in a powerful Legendary mercenary minion!
Mounts and Profession Tools
You’ve grown a lot in the Barrens, and it’s time to level up! Pick up a mount to aid you in battle—and even keep fighting after you’re gone! Or maybe you can learn a new skill while you’re in town. Profession tools are weapons that have special effects instead of attack values. Gather the crafting reagents to get an awesome effect!
Phase 2 Roadmap Update
United in Stormwind will kick off Phase 2 of the year of the Gryphon. Phase 2 will include major changes to Battlegrounds, including the launch of Battlegrounds cosmetics, a minion type refresh, and regular content updates. We will also continue to bring regular updates to Duels, Tavern Brawls, and Solo Experiences. Finally, Mercenaries will launch during Phase 2 of the Year of the Gyphon! Take a look at the new Roadmap:

So there is a 3 mana ooze with premium stats that you can cycle for 1 mana?
Ok.
I'm in love with the new Tradeable mechanic. I really hope to see more cards with the keyword.
Don't know if it'll be any good, but if that Darkbishop Benedictus card creates a Priest archetype that ISN'T control, I'd be pretty happy. Don't mind playing (or playing against) control priest, but a change of pace would be nice.
I guess is the plan.
Guaranteed Shadowform at the start of the game makes for a great control tool, and I hate to tell you this, but most of the existing Shadow spells are control-oriented.
Yeah, I guess that's true. Was really hoping for something new....
30 min countdown and 15 min reveal, awesome content
But you must admit - that art was awesome.
A tavern named the 'Shady Lady'
The cards look underwhelming. Creative, but weak.
LOL someone was bound to say it, but I'm still taken aback. These are some of the most game-changing cards we've seen in a long time.
lol...zero support for duels because we all know it sucks.
tons of streamers are in BG...give them new skins to make them/us waste money on cosmetics.
new cards are meh........
but ok.....trade is cool. love cycle and scry
maybe you should first read the patchnotes
Tradeable cards sound good.
They should just add Tradeable to every card. Would spice up the game nicely.
Well, for the very least that's surely going to be a Tavern Brawl at some point.
But then everyone would keep shuffling their cards consistently. Having unique cards that are situational with Tradeable will make it more effective, for instance that new 3 mana 3/4 that destroys a weapon is fantastic as you can keep cycling it until its needed rather can keeping it as a dead card in hand.
It's Cycling from MtG but you reshuffle the card into your deck instead of discarding it.
On one hand it allows to slot tech cards like this new "Ooze" without too much of a drawback, on the other hand I don't like the fact that the card is reshuffled into the deck, I'd rather don't risk to draw the cards I "traded" again in the future.
Then you can just trade it again for one mana. ( Unless it is a one time thing) I'd rather it go back in my deck to help stave off fatigue if the game goes long.
Looks like a good freaking expansion already! Was hoping some more Paladin cards given its a Paladin Theme but we'll find out soon!
NGL, this actually looks pretty fucking sweet. They are really getting creative!
