Best Hearthstone Cards in Standard - The Mount Rushmore!
Blizzard tweeted out the Best 4 Hearthstone cards in Standard, and the results will likely not shock anyone. Read below!
Quote from BlizzardMt Rushmore of the top 4 cards in Standard! ⛰
• Rinling's Rifle
• Demon Companion
• Adorable Infestation
• Warsong Wrangler
MISLEADING HEADLINE -- The tweet says "top 4," not "best 4."
It's an important distinction because they probably mean "four most played cards," given that Face Hunter is the most played deck, and these cards do not have higher win rates than a LOT of other cards you could name.
What game are you playing?

I know y'all are talking meta stuff but can we take a sec to take in this art? I love it!
great post by blizzard to re-enlighten and use usual hate vs hunter. yeah, i'm sure these are the most broken cards around at the moment (the only ones!). but if face hunter is op and evil, why the F. they continue making it the strongest hunter archetipe? it's devs' choice. oh right, not only because people love aggros, but also cause it's the perfect scapegoat for everything. all those fingers pointed...it's so nice. GG blizz. this game is only good at petting people's bellies nowadays, gameplay is shit and they think hate is the way to regain ground/make people forget things, it's just sad
You do realise that it is near impossible to build a good deck that's not aggro/face deck for hunter, right? Hunter's hero power being a 2 mana deal 2 damage to the enemy's face forces them towards that. Light on card in hand? What do you do? You try and do the one thing you can do for free as much as possible that influences that game's outcome. That for hunter only goes face unless you use other cards that makes it work otherwise. Of which there is 1 card available for hunter right now. 2 card out of 30 in a deck. Great odds.
Do you know why Warlock cards are usually naturally weak? It's because of their overpowered hero power. And also why it's so flexible in almost any meta, some aggro and control are at some level of availability as always.
The most important factor that makes hunter a face deck than a control/combo deck is the fact that it is limited in the various factors that makes a good control deck : Limitations: Card draw and generation, board clear, Taunt. Weaknesses: Healing.
Now, take a strong minute and reconsider what you just said/typed. The class identity has been known to the public since the release of the hall of fame which already got removed/rebranded now too.
Like now, only Blizzard knows what is deep in meta. Nobody is playing it.
Cards with high win rates in aggro Hunter? Those are the best cards in Hearthstone because they are tied to the relative success of a single deck? And Warsong Wrangler is more important than the rhino? REALLY?
Please tell me this is an out of season april fool's joke by Activision.
Is there any information on how exactly they determent this?
I assume this means:
A: They used their own internal data
B: These are the 4 cards with OVERALL (all ranks, all standard games since Forged or maybe since Caverns) highest win rate when played in a game.
Can anyone confirm/deny/add to that?
If my assumptions are right, it would be interesting to see, if its still these 4 cards when you for example only consider Top 500 Legend or even Top 200 or whatever.
What i am getting at is, that Face/Aggressive Hunter has traditionally been a Deck with a very low SkillCap compared to others. This means that the winrates of the Deck should not differ to much across all ranks. While for example IMO OTK-DemonHunter is one of the hardest decks to pilot at its full potential and therefor the winrates of OTK-DH (and hence the winrates of the included cards) should be much lower at lower rates and a lot higher the higher rank a player competes on.(?)
Actually, come to think of it, my assumptions might not be right... Shouldn´t e.g. the winrate of Il´Gynoth be super high if it was determent as "winrate when played"? - cause usually you only play him if you have lethal? So maybe Blizzard used "winrate when drawn" here? Or something in between or entirely different?
Played win rate?
Played rate?
Inclusion rate?
Inclusion win rate?
No context = why even say anything?
Is this a subtle hint from Blizzard that Hunter is going to get a nerf soon?
I mean, if you were going to promote your game as balanced, you wouldn't go out of your way and say that the four best cards are from one class. Seems suspicious....
HAO?
All hunter cards, a dead class right now in this meta KEKW
Bli$$ard Logic
Hunter dead in the meta right now?
What game are you playing?
Definitely not Bronze like you
Hunter is literally a tier s class since 2 exp
it's not dead, but it's sooooooooooo boring to play against
@wg15 face hunter is far from dead but do you really think its cards are the only broken around as this post suggests? what game are u playing?
Yep but when you are control vs control, remember this meta is 10% brainless rng priest and the other 90% is brainless aggro where that pirate does nothing
I would've liked the Hearthstone Mount Rushmore to be the top 4 Rush minions.
