Season 1 of Hearthstone's Grandmasters is wrapping up this weekend with their 8th week -- the Playoffs! The season featured a rotating format from week to week, with the final portion being a dual group style tournament in the Conquest format. Prizing for the Season includes $486,000 and of course the right to compete at the World Championship later this year. All the competition can be viewed over on the Hearthstone YouTube Channel.

Free Packs - Two Packs!
Drops will be returning for Grandmasters Season 1. Viewers can earn up to six free packs just for watching the action live on YouTube. They will be awarded as follows for watching two hours of the stream (1 pack per two hours). Viewers are required to link their Blizzard and YouTube accounts to claim packs -- directions can be found here.
- Week 1 - Year of the Phoenix (max 2 packs) **Promotion has expired.**
- Weeks 2-7 - Year of the Phoenix (max 2 packs) **Promotion has expired.**
- Playoffs - Forged in the Barrens (max 2 packs)
The Playoffs - Week 8
The first 7 weeks led up to the playoffs -- which will qualify one player from each region to compete at the World Championship.
- The top 8 players advanced to the playoffs.
- Players 9-12 were eliminated from tournament play, but safe from relegation.
- The bottom 4 players from each region are automatically relegated from the Grandmasters.
- The winner from each region will be invited to the World Championship. If an invited player from Season 1 is relegated in Season 2, their invitation is rescinded and given to the next highest finisher.

Also they need to submit decks earlier in this week right? So they had less than the 20h time period.

NoHandsGamer finished 1st in Americas and has a bye. Rami and Eddie finished lower and need to compete in the early bracket. Muzzy was the last place to get into the Playoffs and is in the Losers bracket to start.
The way it then plays out:
So the matches are:
Rami vs Eddie (winner is player 1, loser is player 2)
Player 1 vs NoHandsGamer (loser is player 3) - Winner to Semis
Player 2 vs Muzzy (winner is player 4) - loser eliminated
Player 3 vs Player 4 - Winner to Semis, loser eliminated
The same is true for Group B, but replace NHG with Lunaloveee, replace Rami and Eddie with Dreadeye and Nalguidan and finally replace Muzzy with Fled.
As you can see it is a very lengthy explanation and it might STILL not be clear to some people. It felt more appropriate to not put this long winded talk in the news post.
