Wailing Caverns Mini Set - New Cards

Can't wait for the day of "Absorb random spell in opponent's hand" or "Gain stats based on number of spells in opponent's hand"
"Absorb a random spell in opponent's hand. Cast it (targets opponent if possible)"
I am not going to say Primal Dungeoneer is a bad card but its one of those shaman cards that appear to be better then it really is.And although its too early to tell,it seems to be good only in a elemental deck.So shaman didn't get across the board card draw.
Its situational and its possible that your deck won't have nature spells at the time you draw it.So it would be a dead card in your hand.
Also they purposely didn't make it a elemental, so you wouldn't be able to activate a elemental that you drew with it.Which would have helped the elemental decks quite a bit.
Shaman needed straight up card draw and while this card will definitely help them, I doubt it will solve the draw problem.
I require more cards! I need my fix!
if that murloc join arena or duels it’s very powerful, but on construction i don’t know is it worth to have with u? maybe time will tell atm its a question mark?
Plus, this one is hard countered by several archetypes, like spell mage or spell druid. And sucks against aggro, while corrupted Tickatus is just effective against everything (the rest of the deck is an entire different story, but as pure numbers, Tickatus is also gret at destroying aggro stuff that could be important).
Spell mage will have created minions in hand at some point, and you'll know exactly when it does, so it's not a total loss.
Another place where Mutanus is bad is against any opponent who is in a top-deck situation, which could happen with nearly any archetype. (But at that point, maybe it doesn't matter too much?) On the other hand, this situation sets up a nice combo with Dream or Blackjack Stunner.
If corrupted Tickatus is actually helping you against aggro, you probably won your anti-aggro game long before. Tickatus destroying cards only matters against combo and any match where the person whose cards are destroyed actually reaches 0 cards in said game. Otherwise, you can just pretend Tickatus is discarding cards from the bottom of your deck and go about your day, because you'd never have drawn those cards anyway.
Shaman dungeoneer is very, very welcome!! So many good combos for this. Super excited
Devout Dungeoneer
This card is a damn joke . Really dislike
The dev blog that mentioned that is two years old and has not aged well. In fact, a lot of things in it were never accurate in the first place. Notice that it gives large minion removal as a weakness of Paladin. Since when? That has never been true in the history of the game.
Kinda sad they're introducing more disruption, but the other cards are cool
I think it's good disruption, not toxic disruption like Tickatus. Tickatus is an OP RNG fiesta. Whenever you can, just drop it and enjoy. This boy needs more brains for playing it, and big hand reading skills.
if you dislike disruption you can now disrupt your opponents disruption
The main problem, IMO is that Ticketus doesn't actively worsen your current plays compared to this guy who essentially undraws a card, and there is a good reason why blizzard has been a bit wary of making cards that, without counterplay, just outright remove a card from your opponent's hand, and that's because it can lead to a lockdown.
That said, I'm still not sure if the murloc would be playable as 7 mana is a pretty hefty cost for a card that's relatively low tempo in a lot of situations, and can wiff, while Ticketus will almost always be relatively above average tempo for mana cost, AND mill.
You need to take this card with caution. Indeed this card would be a dead draw on most decks. But in control decks it won't. In control it's fairly normal and doesn't disrupt so much your game plan having a card in hand for a few turns. This is a tech against decks like OTK DH, and it gives a chance to control decks like priest to win against warlock. Have a Y'shaarj in hand buddy? My murloc boy says yummy yummy.
had high hopes for the murloc, it's pure shit.
idk, i think it's pretty cool. definitely depends on the matchup. obviously against no minion mage or paladin, it's not great, but against warlock, corrupt priest, control warrior, primordial druid - it's amazing. imagine if it eats y'shaarj or n'zoth. (or tickatus!) high chance that by turn 7 it's going to eat a win condition card against those kinds of decks, i think.
Tickatus is not harmful to aggro decks anyway. This card is somehow Dirty Rat 3.0?
true, but because of its mana cost, i don't see this being used in aggro decks. and you're absolutely right, it's definitely got dirty rat vibes.
