Top 5 Duels Moments of the Week
Welcome back to another Top 5 Duels Moments of the Week! Because of how crazy Duels can be with all of its treasures, people experience a lot of crazy once-in-a-lifetime moments. Here, ANYONE can share some of their favorite experiences from their Duels games.
5: The Illusion of Choice
Hearthpwn User PeachFern is presented with a less than wide variety of options. Bugs usually impact niche situations, but rarely rob you of an entire draft option.
4: Deathstrider's Wider Board of Spiders
Hearthpwn User ohWollocks, presents us with a new way to use and abuse the dreaded Nerubian Egg. The small amount of extra mana provided by Crystal Gem and Emerald Goggles gives just enough fuel to power the Battlecry of a late-run Deathstrider. Hope that Sphere of Sapience help that poor Warrior find what he's looking for.
3: Al'Akir the Win Lord
What's a pair of Al'Akir the Windlords gonna do against someone with over 50 Health & Armor? Well, Hearthpwn User Alihan_H experiences the unexpected after the opponent combos Ancient Reflections and Bloodlust for a Charge/Windfury Beatdown. Not exactly something people typically play around, but there you have it.
2: Bag of Giants
One of the biggest discounts Scepter of Summoning can give is to the giants. Hearthpwn User DDfeet decides that cheating is okay, and procedes to summon 24/24 worth of stats on turn 1. A starting hand with Bag of Coins allowed for the casting of 4 spells while also giving enough Mana to play three now 1-cost Arcane Giants! In a later game, Mask of Mimicry unleashes yet another army of giants at an annoyingly early point in the game.
1: I Wish That Didn't Happen
Ah yes, Oh My Yogg! Any card based on everyone’s favorite Old God has the potential to backfire, and this instance is no exception. As most of us are aware, Secret Paladins are quite strong right now. But no amount of power or skill can stop the game from deciding you’re going to lose this one. Holy Nova becomes Bloodbloom, and the opponent was granted a free Wish. Did I mention this happened on turn 4? Hearthpwn User KingStarmilk admits defeat, but can’t help but respect the absolute silliness of the situation.
Thank you PeachFern, ohWollocks, DDfeet, Alihan_H, and KingStarmilk for your submissions!

Today 2x same passive. Not so impressive.
just because you dont like it doesnt mean its trash. And why would someone bother what streamers do lol?
"Why is duels unpopular and not taken seriously?"
Look at number 4 and that's all you need to know why.
I did feel a bit guilty tbf as it was the last game before 12 wins but it is very rare play Deathstrider on 1. Hunter is a lot more balanced now imo and is solidly inline with other classes. I got to twelve wins because I got lucky enought to draft both pieces of Quel'Delar otherwise it would have been a 4-3 run.
I do agree that games can be very fast and rng dependant but I think everyone knows that when they sign up :/
You don't need to feel guilty as it's not your fault, and didn't mean to make your special moment feel like something wrong. I'm just pointing out issues in the design that make it hard to take this mode more seriously than flipping a coin. The designers need to have a better way to make treasures more fair, because right now most of them dictate the entire mode. As you said yourself you got Quel'Delar and coasted to free wins. You won a lottery, which is fine, but the mode was marketed as something different.
When it was first hinted at months before, we thought we were getting some exciting and in depth mode to change things up. It turned out be a dungeon run hybrid which wasn't bad. But it was hardly balanced for PVP and right now it's been getting slow updates. T
Thank you for your work! I always have fun reading your weekly duels moments :)
Thank you for featuring my post 🤗
No problem. You even inspired this week’s thumbnail!
Hats off to Alihan_H and KingStarmilk for being good sports and sharing some incredible content even after they got hosed by that content.
The True MVPs
Getting two of the same passive choices is actually rather common.
