The smaller golden bundle is showing as 158 GBP for me and the larger as 44.99 GBP.
Blizzard must be hopeful.....
It's tempting to go through with the purchase just to see if it actually takes that much money from me, it has to be a visual bug, right?!?!
These days, every time anyone charges money for anything it's "greedy" just like any class which has a winning percentage > 55% is "toxic".
50 euros for 10 standard packs and 2 legendaries is a joke.
It's sad that some people will actually reward Blizzard by buying them.
10 golden standard packs and 2 golden legendaries is enough dust to create at least four legendaries of your choice.
When have you ever been able to get so much dust at a lower price?
Yes, it's expensive. But it's not more expensive than Hearthstone cards have always been in the past.
Oh it's not more expensive! We're saved! (I hope it's clear enough that it's sarcasm)
It's clear, but it doesn't make much sense. Saved from what? The high prices that have existed since the beginning?
You're the one who called this offer a joke, as if it's somehow different from what Hearthstone cards have always cost.
Well I would rather say you're nearly the only person here calling this offer not a joke and defending whale attitude in general.
I saw your maths under my post. In terms of dust, I agree that this offer isn't as bad. On the other hand, do you really think many people buy golden cards only to disenchant them? I think only a small minority of the minority who even buys the golden packs use it for deck building. And most people who don't own many Epic's/Legendary's and just want to make a good standard Deck go way better with the 20 Euro Decks from the Store in terms of value and price. Yes, you don't get all the cards you need, but for the most Decks you'll get the core or enough to make it play and go on from there. Also the dust you get from the 50€ bundle is often not even enough to make a whole Deck since most Decks require 10k-14k Dust and you can't expect pulling a legendary out of the packs. Most people probably just want to collect the golden cards anyway, so for that reason I looked at the cards per € price. And ~1€ per card is still the most expensive price I ever say in a card game for a new booster pack.
I'm not trying to convince anyone to buy it. That's a personal decision based on individual finances. For the record, I'm not buying it because I don't care about golden cards and I don't need the dust.
I'm just asking people to stop pretending that this offer is a sudden surge of hell-infused greed on Blizzard's part. It's clearly a whale offer not intended for the average player, but it's also very clearly NOT a price increase or a bad deal in any way if you are in the market for golden cards.
I don't know what you mean by "defending whale attitude," but it sounds pretty judgmental. If you want to play a card game where no one has ever spent money on the cards, I don't know why you're even here. It's no secret that Hearthstone is an expensive hobby and always has been.
I don't think people pretend that this is a SUDDEN surge of hell-infused greed on Blizzard's part, lol. And I also don't think people care if you buy the packs or not. I never said it's a bad deal in terms of golden cards, but if you calculate me the "dust value" you get from the cards, you clearly try to portray it as a "non-whale" offer, because whales usually don't care much about the dust since they have all the normal legendaries anyway and clearly focus on the golden cards so you don't need to argue with that. And dude.. you can easily play Hearthstone without spending a penny. Specially now when the whole core set is free. Might take a while but it's completly possible to build a Meta Deck for free. Just look at all the free to play series on Youtube or budget Decks here. And Just because you see it as an expensive hobby doesn't mean it's an undeniable fact and everybody else has to spend money on it.
Again, I don't care if people buy the bundles. As I explicitly stated, I don't think most people are going to be interested in this deal, and I don't think most people should buy it because most people don't care enough about golden cards to buy entire packs of them.
BUT if someone does decide to buy it -- whether for the cards or for the dust -- your characterization of the bundle as a bad deal is incorrect. You are clearly just trying to stir shit, because you keep TELLING me what I mean instead of paying attention to my main points.
If you think the game is perfectly fine as a free-to-play experience, I don't know why you are paying attention to the price of anything.
If you disagree when I say the game is expensive, I don't know why you care how much this bundle costs.
No hero this week?
Looks like a fat 0. :)
This is already a cool bundles.
Greedy :(
How is it greedy? You can just...not buy them?
Still greedy
Folks, get out of your fairytale world. Blizzard is a company and the goal of every company is to maximize profits.
That these "exclusive" bundles are more expensive and more frequent is a sign that Blizzard's economical interests are increasing exponentially...
It is pure greed, do not try to find excuses
Why should anyone try to find excuses? Companies exist to make money -- it is their only reason for being.
There is nothing wrong with offering a variety of products at a variety of price points. If you find them too expensive, don't buy them.
Okey, that's right, but what do you call a company whose economic interests do not stop growing exponentially and is only limited to creating thousand ways to monetize their product? A product whose condition is, however, pitiful, while the company does nothing to fix or improve it...
Lazy and greedy are the words.
