yes
Awesome expansion!
You people don't half moan a lot, never seen such a room filled with such ungreatfulness...
Two cards that are situationally very powerful but weak otherwise. We'll need to see if those situations are common/easily attainable enough for these to see play.
Dragon's Breath is a lot better than the comments in this thread have let on. 4 toughness is the standard for midrange creatures and after 1 on board trade it's 3 mana kill something, which is par. If the board state is more convoluted, it becomes insane.
Totally agree , i imagined dragons breath to have a dragon synergy..like a dragon version kill command.
i dont think it would be as good as kill command coz dragon tend to be high cost meaning ur control and not face**** ***h***.
Ok I have to ask this. Does any one else feel underwhelmed by what we have seen so far? I mean there are a couple good ones, but nothing spectacular yet.
Ya not a single "I-am-good-on-my-own" card.
Rather than "good on their own cards", "good combo'd with other cards" probaby makes for bigger meta shifts and more new archetypes so hopefully that's what we'll get from the set.
Because of not then... We will probably not see BRM cards used much :/
There was definitely more excitement for the Naxx cards, because they all(nearly) looked cool as they were teasing us with them.
Looking back, we were excited for 3 of the 9 class cards, and 13 of the 21 neutrals. My estimation, but I think it's closely accurate.
That's just barely over 50% were cards we wanted to use in many decks, and were excited to pay for.
So far for this expansion, what are we excited for? Hungry Dragon I guess? Some people want to use Lava Shock and Skulker, but that's kinda it.
They really need to impress, because at the moment we are only excited for 2 of 14 cards teased. That's only 14%. They are releasing 31 cards, so they will need to show us at least 13 great cards out of the 17 remaining to make this even AS appealing as Naxx.
I really don't see that happening. I think this adventure will be either a flop, or people will begrudgingly pay for it just to get the big legendary at the end that will be useful, but will turn us away from adventures in the future.
I think it's worrisome that they even added the pre-order option. Never pre-order, guys....it's never a good idea.
Im just hoping the next few reveals are pretty spectacular...Cause im not all that thrilled. Dont get me wrong I would have done it either way cause I support the game. I was just hoping we would see a similar impact to the game as naxx made and right now with some small exceptions here or there nothing is really all that earth-shattering.
well not many cards left to unveil. whatever happened to elementals and dragons?
there's barely any, this adventure is looking very underwhelming.
Does it work with doomsayer?
at least, mage cards won't help mech mage. thank god for that!
my issue is toward aggro that are explosive enough to ignore value, trade, and basically the opponent, and just look at the red number in the corner of the hero...
The artwork on Dragon's Breath is flippin' sick!
Still not seeing anything that's exciting me... Are Blizzard just teasing?
This is actually the first time I've seen a set that I'm genuinely excited for. Dragon decks were always my favorite thing to play in Magic. Now they'll be viable in Hearthstone, as well.
But if Nef doesn't do class calls to your opponent...I will be disappoint. For the many of you that don't know what I mean, here's the fight's wiki so you can see how absolutely fun a mechanic that could be in Hearthstone.
http://wow.gamepedia.com/Nefarian_(tactics)
In terms of game mechanics, it'd basically work like this.
Warrior - remove all of his armor
Priest - any healing spell or ability hurts the priest and minions he controls for one turn
Hunter : disable hero power (this would be the only ine I could see as being permenant as long as Nef remains in play)
Paladin : Divine Shield your hero (DS on Nef could be an option, but wouldn't be nearly as effective or fun since he could still be removed)
Rogue : Freezes rogue in place, as well as his entire board for one turn
Mage : Polymorph a random minion he controls
Shaman : You gain one of each shaman totem (possibly including non hero power ones)
Warlock : You gain two infernals
Druid : Unsure what could be fun here, as his class call was to place all druids into cat form. This one's really the trickiest of the bunch.
Many of these cards are okay but not great. Unless we see more great cards, especially the legendaries, the meta doesn't seem like it will change very much.
I have high hopes for the legendaries, however...
enough with the drips - just tell us everything already!
