Patch Notes 20.2 - New Heroes in BG - Diamond Ragnaros and New Hero Skins & More
Last week's announced Patchnotes are finally here. They feature Battlegrounds heroes, a Diamond Ragnaros for Classic and new Hero skins for Reward Track progression!
Patch is LIVE!
Blizzard is aware of an issue with the Tavern Regular Reward where you are supposed to be able to claim a new Hero Portrait. A fix is coming, as per the tweet listed below!
About Tavern Regular Achievement:
These are quite difficult to get, definitely prestige items. Every 200 total levels on reward tracks gets you a a choice from that pool of hero skins. (Accumulates across reward tracks, and does count retroactive progress on Darkmoon and Barrens reward tracks.)

UPDATE:
We're aware of the Tavern Regular achievement starting out already claimed for people with >200 levels already. Working on a fix!

Quote from BlizzardThe 20.2 patch, which will release on May 4, includes a major update for Battlegrounds, purchasable decks, and more!
Battlegrounds Updates
Quilboar have been added as a new Battlegrounds minion type! There will still be five minion types per Battlegrounds game once Quilboar are added, meaning that three minion types will be excluded from each game. Just like when Dragons, Pirates, and Elementals were added, Quilboar will show up in every Battlegrounds match until our next major content patch.
The Quilboar update includes 17 new minions, 3 new heroes, and a new mechanic: Blood Gems! Blood Gems are spells that give a friendly minion +1/+1. Some Quilboar give you Blood Gems, while others have special interactions when Blood Gems are played.
We’ve also added Battlegrounds support for your favorite Coin! As a reminder, you can set a Coin as your favorite by clicking on the Coin icon in the top right of your Collection.
Finally, prepare for a fresh playing field as all players’ Battlegrounds ratings will be reset to 0 when the 20.2 patch launches on May 4!

I think you're looking at it the wrong way. With the Necrolyte minion, you can take all those blood gems you had on your early midgame minions and pool them onto another minion, like a cleave or something else you want to be beef up. They actually have a lot of menagerie potential with Aggem Thorncurse.
That assumes you were using quillboars already before you switched to menagerie, because many of them are useless without other quillboars. So again - the pirate problem. Many pirate units are worthless without other pirate units, so you avoid them unless you're heavy into pirates already. Since you'll likely avoid a lot of the quillboar synergy cards without quillboars already, you won't have tons of blood gems on your guys by the late game when you would want to start consolidating them, so limited utility. The 1 star quillboars and the 5-6 seem good, but the 2-4 star quillboar units are particularly ugly.
Still no fix for the lag (in battlegrounds).
I don't understand how that Tavern Regular achievement and acquiring those skins work.
I think they mean that you get levels every Reward Track, and they just count up those levels, reward track after reward track and every so many levels you get a choice of Hero portraits.
At least that's what I gto from it.
so If I understand correctly, you can earn more than one Hero skin, depending on your total tavern level which is sum of all tavern levels from all expansions
My answer was correct, and Celestalon tweeted some more info, which I added at the top of the news post. :)
My guess is that they add tiers to the, untill now, useless orange shards you get for each archievement. And yes, the more shards you own, the more skins you acquire.
No. It has nothing to do with Achievements, beyond it being an achievement in itself.
"Every 200 total levels on reward tracks gets you a a choice from that pool of hero skins." <- from the Celestalon tweet at the top of the news.
It's purely based on Reward track levels. The more you get, the more you will get achievement portraits.
"If I understand correctly, you can earn more than one Hero skin"
Yes, but if you look at the shown portraits, they are different from the "max" level reward track.
So you still need to do 10 tracks for those, but an additional 2000 levels for these new portraits.
While that is a lot, it's also over 3 years and 4 months minimum. (I guess you could grind the levels faster but it will still take time.)
is there gonna be mega pack bundle like as darkmoon for 2500g?
Pretty sure they said it will be., but its seems they made some bundle for 20$ instead.
N'Zoth, God of the Deep got a small buff in constructed. For example, it will now resurrect Death's Head Cultist
Razormane Raider will be great with N'zoth.
.
No, read the patch...

Resurrecting Plaguemaw the Rotting together with few taunts can be a neat trick, too.
