Blizzard Responds: Kargal Battlescar Dust Refund Soon
Blizzard responded tonight after some in the community had complained about the fact that Kargal Battlescar, the Watch Post Legendary, was not made eligible for a dust refund with the Patch. This is now being fixed!
🛠️ In a hotfix later this week, Kargal Battlescar will become eligible for a full dust refund for 2 weeks. In the days following the hotfix, compensation will go out for players who dusted Kargal after the 20.0.2 patch notes were published. pic.twitter.com/dPVDjVvJsQ

WOW! I disenchanted it like 1-2 days before the announcement, and I got the rest (1200) Arcane Dust today. Thank you Blizzard <3
Does it not work for the Golden version?
It does. I just disenchanted my golden copy for 3.2k dust (the recent nerfs granted me a total of nearly 7k dust)
this is such a stupid decision you bunch of babies
Giving everyone who had him a free legendary is a bad idea?
Just disenchanted got +1600 refund!
Confirmed. I just checked and sure enough, the full dust refund has gone live.
Why would you disenchant it anyway? like, whats the point?
if the watchposts are less viable, this card becomes almost useless, because you cant play it alone unless you want a 7 amana 5/5 battlecry do nothing in your deck
Good move for the players. Thanks!
It is an interesting precedent. Every card nerf affects other cards to some extent. Where will they draw the line? In any case, it is a pleasant surprise.
No, not every card has the exact name of the nerfed card in their card text. This is a direct nerf.
Seems like a valid reason at 1st, but it's completly false in fact.
"Watch post" is very similar to a minion type and it's NOT an exact name of any card.
It's just that the pool of Watch posts (playable) currently available is so little than the impact on this card and his playability is huge.
The card itself never changed and has the exact same powerlevel.
So it can't be deny that it is an UNdirect nerf.
You're just being dishonest now. We all know that Kargal only works if Watch Posts work, not the other way. He's directly tied to how useful/strong Watch Posts are, period.

This is a very cool move on Blizzard's behalf. Well played, Blizz.
This is the right decision. If you stop running watch posts because of the nerfs then Kargal lost its usefulness completely to you as a player. He is at his best when many watch posts are used, maybe the 2 out of 4 commonly used ones are still viable but not sure I'd run Kargal in such a deck. I probably wouldn't. Time will tell, maybe there will be more different kinds of watch posts being released so I won't be dusting him (even though I am tempted).
Dusting nerfed cards is absolutely safe. You can always recraft it for the very same cost.
I'm honestly surprised. Better would be to make their legendary viable instead of crippling it with these nerfs.
or it might just be a sign that we won't get more Watch Posts in the Miniset, or else they might have not offered the Refund.
