Blizzard Responds: Kargal Battlescar Dust Refund Soon
Blizzard responded tonight after some in the community had complained about the fact that Kargal Battlescar, the Watch Post Legendary, was not made eligible for a dust refund with the Patch. This is now being fixed!
🛠️ In a hotfix later this week, Kargal Battlescar will become eligible for a full dust refund for 2 weeks. In the days following the hotfix, compensation will go out for players who dusted Kargal after the 20.0.2 patch notes were published. pic.twitter.com/dPVDjVvJsQ

Completely agree. I hope people who disagreed at Petition to Blizzard to give Full Dust Refund for Kargal Battlescar will see this.
Some of them even insulted who thought there should be a refund. Jeez, what an illogical way to argue. Just say you disagree, and state why. I really dont understand people like that.
Anyways, this is a very good sign for blizz and community. I hope they will keep this positive attitude up!
They better nerf better then they did yesterday!!!
Did you even read the post?
I myself bitch a lot about Blizzard being stingy and not giving an F about the community, but they've been surprising a lot lately.
BTW: I don't know if the nerf did nothing or there aren't any viable decks beside mage pally and lock and maybe face hunter?
Good thing I disenchanted him yesterday.:))))))))))))
So the fact that Blizzard responded to something the community had asked for is "a sign that they don't care"? Logic is somewhat amiss here.
Still waiting on my dust refund for Mekgineer Thermaplugg from when they nerfed Leper Gnome.
Well they unnerfed leper gnome, so I guess it’s never happening.
This is such BS, so if I crafted mage deck, after your logic I should get refund for the whole deck that includes Lunacy. Who the hell came with this logic? when you craft a legendary, you assume a risk that the deck might get nerfed or might not work, beside that, who tells you to netdeck a specific deck where Kargal or watchposts can't be played? this situation was on HS many times and they never did such shit refound for something that wasn't in nerf list, NEVER. It's just an opinion, nothing personal with those who crafted it.
And why exactly are you crying? Even if your logic were to make some sense (where Kargal and Watch Posts aren't intrinsically connected), there's still no harm being done here, only benefits. I think you're just jealous because you don't have a Kargal of your own to dust....
I'm crying because devs are becoming cheap with this thing from what I see, which is a bad sign that they don't care. What's next? putting random people from community as devs ?
You should go see a doctor about the problems you're having with your brain. There is zero logic in anything you're saying.
This to me looks like whining of a privileged 12 year old whose momma still buys him packs. It's either that or some buthurt 25 year old that doesn't have friends. Why are you angry with blizz making the right move? This legendary was directly linked with the cards. It's not semi related, it's directly affected by watchposts.
duuude , Mage is still top tier deck, even without Lunacy... still has retarded amount of card generation, still has mana reduction to all cards in the deck, just slam Cthun instead of Lunacy, or you can even play Lunacy, nothing has changed, stop crying
Why are people trying to discuss whether or not the refund is valid, this is coming out of Blizzard's own "digital pocket", there's only gains and no losses here. Those people must be either the company's dog for taking their "side" (when there's not even clashing ideas here, Blizz is giving us stuff for once) or just impatient folks who dusted the card as soon as they opened it because they didn't think it would see play, and thus, are super salty now that they've lost 1200 dust.
Like, even if you can justify that, somehow, this refund makes no sense, you're still working against the players, you're sabotaging yourself. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
It seems that you don't get my point of view. Won't start an discussion here. This has nothing to do with those who get refund personally, I'm happy for them cause the dust system is trash anyway and you barely can craft something in a month.
Yup, I definitely agree with the refund. I've just tried some watch-post decks. I suggest everybody to try them and feel the difference! Watch-posts are now easily traded and, most of the times, they just sit in your hand (cause if you play them you lose tempo).
I'm confused. Not about the dust refund for Kargal, that makes perfect sense. I'm confused that so many other people here seem to not understand why this is being done. I'm honestly not sure if they are trolling or they actually just don't understand why.
People crafted both watch posts and Kargal knowing full well that watch posts were powerful and were going to see play. If you're going to play watch posts, you might as well play Kargal. Then, watch posts were nerfed. Now watch posts aren't as powerful and won't see as much if any play. If people now choose to not play watch posts due to the nerf , there's no reason to play Kargal. Since many people crafted Kargal based on the fact watch posts were powerful, it makes perfect sense they'd receive a dust refund when that power is reduced.
To put it in a slightly different way, a lot of the people that crafted Kargal did so because watch posts were as powerful as they were and never would have crafted him if watch posts were statted as they are now, hence the refund. I mean, this concept can't be that hard to grasp. I try and reserve calling people out as stupid, but come on! This isn't complicated stuff here.
Imagine crafting legendaries before first wave of nerfs OMEGALUL
I think the point is that there were other cards in the past that would only see play in a specific deck build around a certain card.
When that card was nerfed, there would be no refund for associated cards even though they vanished from decks with the nerfs.
I believe to remember threads discussing the same scenario when the rogue quest and Shudderwock were nerfed.
I mean those cards had broader applications and Kargal has only it's niche, potentially there is also a shift in Blizzards reasoning, but that's why I think people are questioning this move.
