They should actually let you play with deck recipes - on ladder. Regardless of whether you own the cards.
Other games (like say, Mythgard) enable people to play certain decks competitively without owning cards as a jumping off point for newer or casual players. Hearthstone is well overdue for these kind of improvements.
I won and got no pack, wtf!? Resetting the game doesn't help
The idea of this Braw is good. It let people try some cards they don't own.
But, all decks are not at the same level. And I will have loved to have the opportunity to complete some achievements during the Brawl (except when playing against Friends). But achievements can only be completed in ranked.
Played some decks, got my pack, and give up on the brawl :(
Which achievements? I complete most of my achievements in Duels.
Yes, You're right. You can also complete the achievements in Duels.
But I don't really play Duels :)
Won with Priest 3 times, against Paladin, Shaman and Warrior. MVP: Xyrella. Played her 2-3 times per game.
This brawl is less random then the “actual” game atm
Why not one of the totally random Tavern Brawls? Oh wait, you can already get that in Standard every time you play a mage…
I can see playing this a bunch for once, since the meta is stale.
I always liked playing brawls because I would get a classic pack and eventually i got full classic collection. I hate that we get YEAR packs. Those don't have pity timer and it's just stupid 40 dust every week.
even in this brawl people can't help but to only play mage and paladin, what has HS become? OMEGALUL
Grab big boi Pally and smash them all
I lost all my interest for deck recipes when Whizbang the Wonderful rotated AND stayed in wild. most bullshit thing I ever seen in hearthstone.
I usually think that the whole "the game is programmed for X player to win/lose" thing is bullshit, but this time there's no way to defend it. Every single time I'm playing as/against a Mage, the player will always topdeck freeze effects until turn 10, where they will topdeck Mordresh Fire Eye (who will, of course, be active) and completely swing the board.
I picked Demon Hunter for kicks. Literally every card in the entire deck was useless.
After the 5th expansion or so, they finally took notice, and the recipe brawl comes out shortly after release, not a month or two later.
That's actually cool.
Best brawl for a long time.
Oooh, I like this kind of Brawl. A decent premade deck to try out cards you don't have. :)
