Balance Changes Coming Next Week - Mage, Paladin, Rogue & Neutral
Alec Dawson, a Lead Designer, just posted a Tweet mentioning balance changes next week as well as what classes will receive them + the final number of changes.
Quote from Alec DawsonBalance changes to go out early next week with 20.0.2. We'll be targeting some cards in Mage, Paladin, Rogue, and Neutral.
Hoping to create more space for experimentation in the early Barrens meta and have a more diverse field of classes.
6 changes in total, details coming soon.

I cant see how they nerf mage. Just too many cards would need nerfing. Even if they banned lunacy it is still a good deck.
Just nerf lunacy and water and it will be nerfed enough
Just lunacy will be good. Spell mage is strong with ctun, but not op.
I won my last 5 mage games without lunacy because it was at the bottom. Only 1 of those I struggled with, the other ones were easy. I don't feel like Lunacy is the problem. Nerfing water might help, though.
I hope they kill pen flinger. Never want to see that card again.
Hey, loser! Wasn't me. Hey, loser! Wasn't me.
My predictions:
Killing casino mage without killing no-spell mage? (like the archetype personally), while reducing secret paladin power, making octo-bot and post easy to kill at early turns... pen flinger nerf could just literally kill some decks, maybe it ends up being "return it your hand at the end of the turn", but we'll see what they come up with.
What do you think?
Have a nice day everyone!
Edit: could also totally see a Jandice Barov going up to 6 mana, hitting Rogue and Mage simultaneously! Field Contact to 4 mana wouldn't surprise me either.
My predictions:
I agree with these, but I doubt Aldor Attendant gets nerfed and bet it's Mor'shan Watch Post or Refreshing Spring Water
I feel like a pen flinger nerf would be either focusing only minions or returning him to hand at the end of the turn instead of directly, 2 mana would destroy him completely and even if I'm hating him so much I don't feel it would be a good nerf (kinda like blade flurry, where the card was unplayable after the nerf). Though it might cure my PTSD of getting killed by a paladin on fatigue with a hand full of 0 cost libram and a pen flinger. Between the length of the turn, the repeating battlecry and the slowly appraoching death...
Also octobot does not seems so problematic to me compared to field contact, however I've not seen so many rogues, I might be wrong on this. I'd go for a 5 mana 4/4 field contact, reminiscing the old auctioneer.
There are two outcomes from these changes: A) Nothing really changes; B) Meta will be split between Warlocks and Hunters, Hunters dominating Warlocks, while Warlocks dominate everyone else.
Based on what exactly? Hunter now has a kit that can go MANY ways. If you're talking about aggro Hunter, then Warrior will come in as well, to then just auto-concede to Warlock. I've messed around with OTK Hunter, Deathrattle Hunter, Primordial Hunter and they all somewhat work with a positive WR. Quit seeing classes, start seeing decks.
Pen Flinger
Jandice Barov
Deck of Lunacy
Far Watch Post
Prediction:
Libram of hope, Pen flinger, Jandice Barov , Deck of Lunacy , Refreshing mana , paladin Sword (will become 1/2) and 3 mana auctioneer in rogue.
I believe with neutral they mean pen flinger. Though 2 mana watch post can definetely go to 3 mana
I hope some rare and common cards get nerfed, just for KEKWing the netdecker, who all play the same *** decks and don't try own stuff.
Please note that these so-called netdecker ate buttermilk bean soup.
Neutral, wonder if they mean the Watch Posts...
Pen Flinger, Watch Posts most likely...
Broom can be a candidate, too.
I don't think so. Broom is not that dominating right now. I prefer Pen Flinger or Watch Posts.
