Drops Return to Hearthstone Masters - Earn Up To 6 Free Packs!
Blizzard just announced that drops will be returning for Grandmasters 2021 Season 1 - available on YouTube.
You'll have the opportunity to earn up to 6 free packs just by watching the live stream.
Quote from BlizzardDrops are back! To celebrate the launch of Grandmasters 2021 Season 1, we’ll be activating YouTube Drops during this weekend’s live broadcasts. All you need to do is create a Blizzard account and link it with your YouTube account, then sit back and collect Year of the Phoenix packs as you watch 48 of the top Hearthstone players from around the world compete over eight weeks.
In addition to opening weekend Drops, you’ll have a chance to receive two Year of the Phoenix packs over the course of Week 2 through Week 7, and then two Forged in the Barrens packs during Playoff weekend, for a total of six drops during the first season of Grandmasters. This isn’t just for Season 1: we’re giving packs away all year, with Drops during Season 2, the next five Masters Tours, and the World Championship!
Earning Grandmasters Season 1 Drops
On one of the eligible YouTube Gaming channels, watch two total hours to receive one pack and two more hours for your second. If it's for free it's for me :D
Great news
it is not 1st april anymore
so I guess it is real
I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it (soon TM)
Doesn't let me connect. "We don't currently support connecting Brand Accounts. Switch to [MOD SNIP] for rewards."
I don't even know what the hell this means.
It means that Youtube seems to think you are logged into a branded version of youtube, like a business email address, instead of a personal account like the gmail address you so openly posted to this public forum.
Same thing happened to me, it means your primary YT account is flagged as a brand account rather than a personal account. Apparently Google+ accounts were migrated to YT brand accounts after it shut down, and there's no way to change a brand account to a personal account. Only option is to switch to a new/different YT account.
i believe they introduced it to Hearthstone just last week. Similar to twitch - have to link your account. If you watch the stream, there will be instructions on what to do but there's basically an icon that shows if you are "Connected" or not.
It starts at 9th of April btw.
So that "connect" option will work at YT starting from 9'th April, or is it just me who can't connect these accounts? 🤔
I've done it already. Mails must be the same i suppose ?
this is so bad for me since my youtube email and battlenet email are different (and I have another, unused battlenet account with the same email as youtube). and when I try to connect it via youtube, it just says "connected!" but I have no idea which email it picked.
the system sucks. on youtube, I cant even see which battlenet account that youtube got connected to...
I completely agree. I just have to hope that their line " When connecting accounts, be sure that you’re currently logged into the Blizzard account on which you’d like to receive your Drops. " is accurate.
Hey , if you have different accounts, I mean an account for youtube and one for battle.net, I found a way to connect them. You have to do it from their website . When you log in on the battle.net via website( I say this because I did it from their website) go to the Account settings/ Connections . When you reached there you have to find google and make the connections between these two. I believe this is working for youtube aswell since with youtube, you have to connect with an Google account.
I hope I've been helpfull, but I am not 100% sure if this works. You might give it a try.
thank you for your suggestion, but I really dont think that would work. because I tried the same thing as well, and when you connect your google (youtube) account to battlenet through battlenet's site, when you go to youtube, it doesnt say that my account is connected.
I connected my alternative account too and there I saw that when you connect it through youtube, it definately connects it with the same email adress.
The only solution that I found was creating a google account with the email that I use to play hearthstone, then logging on to youtube with that account. From my understanding, the emails have to be the same, otherwise youre screwed.
I have just read slightly rules and have one question. Do I have to watch it on the pc to be eligible earn rewards ? I am kinda confused.
It should be fine if you watch it on any device, as long as it's your YT account and you have linked your accounts. I might be wrong, though, who knows how Blizz have made it work
This might be a silly question, but how do you get drops on Youtube?
Because on Twitch you had to link your Blizzard account.
edit: nevermind, found the solution.
Mmmmm when does it start?
I got it to work by doing it the other way around: https://account.blizzard.com/connections/google
At least I hope this way works, otherwise I don't know how to get around the "Switch to your personal account. We don't currently support connecting Brand Accounts. Switch to *emailadres* for rewards" message.
144p muted running in the background is the best way to watch hs.
