Forged in the Barrens Twitch Drops - Starting Today & All Weekend!
Starting today and LIVE right now, Blizzard will enable Twitch Drops on ANY Hearthstone channel on Twitch and allow you to get a total of 2 packs!
Twitch drops will run until April 4th at 8pm PT/ 11pm ET which corresponds with April 5th at 5am CEST and 4am BST.
There's some changes from last time Blizzard did this, so be sure to read carefully what has changed and how you need to claim. Claiming is no longer automatic!
- You’ll now be able to see your watch time progress towards any given drop.
- You will no longer receive drop rewards automatically. You must instead claim the drop on the channel you’re watching or in the Drops Inventory menu on Twitch within the first 24 hours of earning it.
- You will need to claim your first Twitch Drop reward BEFORE you can earn progress towards a second.
- Twitch users can now earn rewards before linking their Battle.net account to Twitch. Rewards will expire 7 days after they’ve been claimed if a Battle.net account has not been linked.
After you’ve claimed a reward on Twitch, please make sure you’re logging into the region you’d like to receive the drop(s) on, as the first region you log into will be where Blizzard delivers the packs!

Quote from BlizzardForged in the Barrens Twitch Drops
Watch any Hearthstone channel on Twitch between April 2 at 9:00 a.m. PT and April 4 at 8:00 p.m. PT for 2 hours to earn 1 Forged in the Barrens card pack! Watch for 2 more hours and you’ll receive another one! Twitch has updated how drops work on their end, and this is Hearthstone’s first time utilizing Twitch Drops since these changes were put into place. Here is what you need to know:
- You’ll now be able to see your watch time progress towards any given drop.
- You will no longer receive drop rewards automatically. You must instead claim the drop on the channel you’re watching or in the Drops Inventory menu on Twitch within the first 24 hours of earning it.
- You will need to claim your first Twitch Drop reward BEFORE you can earn progress towards a second.
- Twitch users can now earn rewards before linking their Battle.net account to Twitch. Rewards will expire 7 days after they’ve been claimed if a Battle.net account has not been linked.
After you’ve claimed a reward on Twitch, please make sure you’re logging into the region you’d like to receive the drop(s) on, as the first region you log into will be where we deliver your packs. It can take up to ~30 minutes to receive your reward(s) in game after claiming. You must link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts before you can receive a drop.
Link Your Battle.net & Twitch Accounts
You'll need to link your Twitch.tv and Battle.net accounts to receive Twitch Drops. Here's how:
- Log in or create an account on Twitch.tv.
- Navigate to the Settings menu by clicking your account name in the top-right corner of the home screen.
- Navigate to the Connections tab of the Settings menu.
- Find the Battle.net section, then follow the instructions after selecting a region and clicking Connect.
- When connecting accounts, be sure that you're currently logged into the Battle.net account on which you'd like to receive your rewards.
I get no DROPS ACTIVE on any channel I tried. Any suggestion?
I got one from the dogdog channel maybe try it?
Thanks mate!
Whoa! Two whole packs!
Man, Blizzard, your generosity is going into overdrive. You guys are so sweet it's almost like you're made of diabetes.
Be glad that there is something for free at all. My goodness. Some people can't get their mouth full.
"""free"""
You are basically being paid two packs to view bot for 4 hours.
Blizzard is trying to combat the afk twitch running in the background.
2 packs for a day and in total 6 packs or
2 packs between 2-4 April in total?
Just 2 between 2-4 April.
yes
Ok, so they make it harder to get, you can't longer let your laptop running on a Twitch channel, as you have to claim the first drop to start the progression on the second one. => I will have to set a timer :D
But the progression timer will be great to monitor the progression.
And 2 x 2 Hours for 2 packs, that's fair enough.
Tips: If you are leaving the streaming in the background, I will suggest connecting to low viewer channels, which may help them to gain visibility.
Enjoy your "free" packs.
You can still auto-claim, check my comment below (#6)
I second that..
Where can you check your watch time progress?
Maybe because it's not yet started (9:00am PT/ 12pm ET/ 18:00 CEST/ 17:00 BST)
Check your Twitch drops inventory, link below. Once the stream starts you can watch your progress towards packs there. Also, there's still a way to autoclaim your packs, I've added a link to reddit that explains how you set it up. It says it's for Rocket League but it works for any game, I've already successfully tested this with 2 other games.
