Classic Format Live Today - The Hottest Decks To Start With
With Patch 20.0 the Classic Format will go live and we will all be able to journey back to 2014 and the glorious beginning of the game. You get a Golden Classic pack just for logging in after the patch goes live! To help with playing we put together a list of some of the best decks of that era!
Many of these decks have great guides, so be sure to open up the deck page and read for some insight into what makes Classic decks tick.
But, I hear you say, I dusted my Wild Collection, I have none of these cards, but I want to play: Don't worry, we put a deck at the very end that is made of just basic cards and still works.
Have fun out there!
Quote from BlizzardReady for some nostalgia? The Classic format invites players to craft decks and compete using Hearthstone’s original 240 cards as they were in 2014, the year that Hearthstone launched! When the patch lands on March 25, your entire collection of relevant Basic, Classic, and Hall of Fame cards will be mirrored and available for deck building in the Classic format—as they were in the 1.0.0.5832 patch of June 2014 (after we made a few important changes), with any and all balance changes since then reverted. Classic packs will now add to your Collection for the Classic format, as well as the Legacy set in Wild. The Classic format leaderboards will launch on March 30. Read our announcement of the Classic format to learn more.
We’re celebrating the launch of the Classic format by rewarding all players with one Golden Classic Card Pack just for logging in after the 20.0 patch has gone live!

Could anyone advise please? I got no Leroy Jenkins. Disenchanted it when it became unplayable in standard. Now I can see 2 Leroys - one in classic for 4 mana and one in wild for 5 mana. The question is if I want to play it again I need to craft both of them separately, or if I craft one another appear automatically. Thanx in advance.
one should be enough obviously
there is only one card...they appear two times because of the different versions, but if you craft it once you will have both versions
when will the patch go live on phones ?
I cant play with these decks in classic mode. It says only for wild??
you have to copy the deck manually, copying from the code doesn't work
Yeah, so, Blizzard generates deck codes in a certain way. Let's say they make these decks by putting a bit in that says "If A then Standard, if B then Wild" so every deck so far generates a code in concordance to that and our forum software emulates that and makes sure that it works like you would expect.
Except now Blizzard added "If C then Classic" while all the decks up there still operate without that knowledge and think they are Wild decks, with "If B then Wild" in their deck code.
There's ways around this, but that requires some trickery and we have not had the time yet to consider if that kind of trickery is worth running. We will probably do it but that's not going to happen today.
I did not forsee this problem coming up when I made the article, so my apologies for that.
For the time being you can choose to copy these decks manually, or to choose to use the Deckbuilder on Hpwn to build your own deck or deck lists created by others that are under the "Classic" heading, cause all of the new decks will have the working deck codes like you would expect.
Hope that helps. :)
Thanks for the rewards Blizz.

Also got golden Aegwynn & a bunch of other stuff lol.
i got 6000 wnis in total but did not receive any reward, how did you receive them?
i found out that its hidden under the achievements menu and its called great victory.
I completed this achievement aswell, but i don't see these cards available. Why is that???
Maybe cause they are from new Core Set which is not released yet or something.
I have received it also. You have to check it under achievements and collect it. It is actually the gold version of the core set cards as far as i see.
Guys, why I dont ger update and it seems that version of HS is still the older one?
I forgot how terrible is to lose so quickly to a hunter back then.
Thank god hearthstone has moved passed that shit
It took me 3 about 3 games:
1. Priest insta conceded vs my Zoo
2. Ramp druid with Yeti turn 1
3. Handlock with 2 8/8 in round 6
Yep... deleted all my classic decks and will never touch this mode again... it was fun back then... but not in this day and age.
Handlock was so OP. No control deck can beat it.
yeap, its just hunter run you down in 4 turns
It will be a cool format. Power creep was real throughout the years, but it's also true that many powerful stuff got heavily nerfed from the Classic set. MTG Vintage vibes!
people love to complain so let them, their life sucks
