Seems pretty strong. Paladin secret quality is going up, as is secret synergy with the new legendary. 1 attack is a lot worse than 2 though.
Bonkers card. Three mana for two, thins your deck, and 1/3 weapon on top.
- Same as the original Ancharr!
- but costs 2 mana and also cheats mana!
==> therfore: Super broken and will see nerf
doubt
Strong yes, but tutoring minions of a particular tribe is much stronger than this effect I think. And 1 attack is much worse than 2.
You can't count the secret as 1 mana each if it was randomly pulled and casted. Wrong secret casted and you barely get any value from it.
But yes, the full value could reach about 6 mana..
Thin a *typically* bad draw, give a tempo-heavy secret, and get 3 ping hits for 2 mana.
seems good to me
Well this is OP as hell
Currently secrets are weak in pala. So you have to put trash in your deck to get them out? nah... its not hunter or mage.
Secrets are always weak in pala. The secret pool right now is stronger than it was in Mysterious Challenger days. Now mysterious challenger was indeed better, putting all secrets in play at once is much better than one a turn. But this is still really, really good. Very possibly good enough to make a secret deck playable.
Before comparing Paladin secrets with other classes, let's remember that the cost is different. It's half or even less. They can't be as powerful.
In a matter of days the three base secrets from Paladin will be extremely good.
So secrets cast from this card would not trigger Secret Keeper but would trigger Veteran War Medic right?
I feel like the draw and thereby thinning your deck could really push this over the edge. Paladin (especially Pure builds) lacks draw, so being able to draw your good cards more consistently while getting some secret stuff in the process seems kind of worth it. I hope this might fit into some Dude Paladin Deck, if they reveal a secret that buffs your board like Competitive Spirit and Never Surrender! did.
Remember that there is no reason anymore to play pure Paladin because the best cards for it are gone.
Well, Yrel is still there. But you're right, alone she won't make this archetype worthwhile. I hope there will be more support for this archetype in the following expansions.
Besides that the draw options in the neutral card pool aren't that great either. I experimented with Cult Master recently, but it's kind of awkward. Of course you can use Novice Engineer or Loot Hoarder, but I don't think their stats/cost ratio is good enough for a board centric class like Paladin.
This card gives me a mysterious challenger vibe. Getting rid of those unwanted secrets topdeck is what secret Pala needs the most. I like it
At worst a 2-mana ping that plays a 1 mana card from your deck and gets Ooze'd. At best 3 pings that play 3 1 mana cards from your deck.
This is +1 mana over 3 turns when you only consider the playing the 3 secrets part of this. But the fact that you draw and play them, makes this worth at least 6 mana over 3 turns.
Weapon removal will definitely see play this season.
weapon removal will see play, but not in order to counter paladin
Yes , agree. And I believe full value of it is 8 mana. 1/3 weapon is 1 mana, draw 3 is worth ~4 mana, and play 3 secrets is 3 mana. This card is insane, given +3/2 secret will be there.
