Yes call it as you want as Tempostorm I will call it as Hs Replay.
This is literally Xaril, Poisoned Mind, just reprinted.
Xaril, Poisoned Mind and Apothecary Helbrim
Wild got 2 copies of legendary.
I'm pretty sure that random poison are deadly poison, leeching poison, nitroboost poison and that new poison, no the toxins from Xaril.
Toxin =\= poison.
Different cards in the pool, so it's not the same.
It’s foxy fraud stats so you’re paying 2 mana upfront to gets two random poisons over the next 1-2 turns. All the poisons we’ve seen are 1 mana so... this is awful right? Even at base because you may as well just run the poisons you want and not have the risk of discovering paralytic poison which is trash. The other poisons they’re going to announce would have to cost 2 mana or be really good to make this worth it
Paralytic poison is good in tempo rogue, where this card might see play, but yes it's not great in aggro. Decent way to generate value, which tempo rogue cares about, and all the poisons are a good way to swing the board, which tempo rogue also cares about. Aggro doesn't care much for value and is more concerned with hitting face than swinging the board, which is what paralytic poison is meant for.
I Guarantee you paralytic poison won’t see any play. Control rogue is not a thing, you go face with weapon. Yeah but there’s no benefit to playing this card for 4 mana over playing 2 good poisons and a foxy fraud, unless we get 2 mana poisons you don’t gain anything playing this and it’s bad tempo for stats. I suppose it’s a decent follow up to playing CutterButter as it would only cost 1 mana
I wouldn't be so sure. Unless they print more poisons, the new weapon wants you to run all the poisons. With this card, thats up to 8 poisons, which you can reasonably stack all on the same weapon, because of the durability adding. At 3 poisons, the new weapon is already 3-6 damage better than self sharpening sword. At 4 poisons, it's 14-18 more damage than SSS, and the damage scaling gets even more insane with each additional poison.
The new weapon doesn’t see any play unless they nerf self sharpening sword. Like it literally won’t be played until that’s nerfed or rotates. Also they’re definitely printing more poison because there’s too much support with this and the weapon for them only to add one really bad new one In paralytic poison so I expect to see 1-2 more really busted poisons otherwise none of it makes sense.
"Ssso many wonderful poisonsss."
The irony is that xaril's toxins won't even count as poisons for the new weapon
Doesn’t seem great especially when we all suspect that Nitroboost (the only good poison) will get nerfed pre expansion. I imagine there’s a least another 1-2 poisons to be announced with all this support and they’re probably going to be reaaaaally good
Xaril's reincatnaition
Sometimes I can't even imagine where these original ideas are coming from, and how its going through everyones approvals in this company. isn't natural reaction when someone at designers meeting proposed this card would be "common guys this can't be printed it's already exist, at best we can adjust xaril moves her to the core set or whatever, if we want to push this archetype, but don't scam like this, that's not creative".
But what do I know.
do we know the poisions yet?
So far:
In Standard: Deadly Poison, Nitroboost Poison and the new Paralytic Poison
In Wild: + Leeching Poison
They still have couple to use from Classic or Retail WoW
Mind-numbing - one that increases casting times
Wound - one that reduces healing
Instant - just plain damage
Crippling - one that applies slow
Iteration of one of those might appear as a card soon.
Let's see...
mind-numbing = increase mana cost of spells?
Wound = can't restore health next turn?
Instant = 2 mana add 3 attack to weapon?
Crippling = can't attack next turn?
Seems slow. even with a 1 mana poison... earliest can apply it is... turn 5 ?
