Another Miracle Rogue card. I doubt this deck would be relevant without charges and Eviscarate
Miracle rogue isn't really miracle rogue without questing adventurers, eviscerate or whirlkick master. Will end up just being a straight tempo rogue. I think cutterbutter will keep the deck swingy enough to stay relevant, and you probably run the shank as a finisher instead of adventurers + combo value. The new immune poison will probably end up being better for tempo rogue than aggro rogue since you are more likely to want to hit minions with your weapon in tempo rogue. Since the shank and/or self-sharpening sword will probably be the finisher of the deck, this card could likely make the cut to get more value out of the weapons, especially if people are running weapon tech
Another blast from the past in our journey through the Barrens
So... why exactly did they bring swashburglar back to the core set and print Vanessa VanCleef if there’s no reason to steal cards? I guess rogue identity is just “go face and have board swings”
Vanessa VanCleef have nothing to do with burgle Rogue at all, it's just a sneaky value card.
At all? Pretty sure you won't run vanessa in aggro or tempo rogue, so what list does it make the cut in? Value secret burgle rogue. Because it has the potential to steal cards from another class as well as match the opponent's plays, similar to how plagiarize does so.
Vanessa is going to my Wild Tess rogue as soon as she released. Having the ability to take the card your opponent chooses to put in their deck is fantastic. Stealing a death knight or value generator can be game-winning
Sure, you can play her in burgle rogue or whatever you want doens't mean it was designed for that.
Didn't answer the question. What deck can she possibly go into besides burgle rogue? Value rogue IS burgle rogue. The only exception to that is galakrond rogue which will no longer exist at rotation.
I dont know dude, i guess we will figure it out soon.
Ok card, good value, but slow on board and high cost (for rogue). The problem with weapon buffs is that if they become too strong, we will see ooze meta again. At least its not straight broken, as another rogue legendary...
Once I saw the tusk blade I called this exactly. A xaril but for weapon poisons. It’s balanced, not too op, but definitely strong and will find a spot in decks given the critical mass of weapon synergies available right now. Awesome card.
Also, total contrast to scutterbutter which is some bogus broken BS.
Remember Xaril, Poisoned Mind? This is her now. Feeling old yet?
Bad in wild. I dont think u want to run this over oil at any time. Dunno if they want this in Reno Rogue ?
Surprised that blizz gave rogue a non OP broken card, nice
I was hoping for a different playstyle for Rogue but I guess blizzard likes to see smork in their game
By smork you mean face rogue? You cant run a 4 mana 3/2 in this case. This card have lots of applications SMOrc is definely not one of them.
Me too. No new thief or shuffle synergy, even though swashburglar, Vanessa vancleef, and ticket master are decent building blocks for both those archetypes. Maybe next expansion...
I think the new shank weapon wants you to have enough poisons in your deck that it might even make the cut there as a way to make sure you have enough durability to swing every turn. However, it might end up in a more tempo-based list
for smork i meant a rogue who upgrades the weapon and only hits you in the face with it, ignoring the paralytic poison side effect and using the others to just increase the attack or the leaching poison to survive without needing to trade similar to how dh played when kel tas was a thing
