Hah, I held on 3 hoping for a change! Good times!
Extremely slow.
Wrong.
You're demonstrably, proven wrong, why are you arguing? The new Ysera absolutely is part of the new set, we know this 100%.
Exactly, the entire CORE set for free. But if I'm not mistaken, it has been said that the CORE set will be changed/and updated every year or so.
If that's the case, I'm assuming we always get the "updated" CORE set for free.
I have pretty important question that i don't see answered by Blizzard.
Is this change will also affect Ysera in soon to be Classic format? She was quite popular option in slower decks if i remember correctly and for genuity of that format she should be rolling unnerfed versions of dream cards there.
Classic format will use old state cards for all cards.
Good.
Thank you for your quick answer, friend!
It's a much more better version and powercreep of the old Ysera. You get the 5 dreams in a single turn, 10 mana 4/12 + sap + +4/+4 to trade with another minion. The nerfs are necessary to not make it too overpowered. So I don't understand the cries.
Playable or unplayable is another thing. It depends on the meta. But a much better version definitely.
OLD Ysera, in Wild, will use the new, nerfed, dream cards. It's almost a straight downgrade. Nothing to do with new Ysera whatsoever.
Why would anyone use old Ysera over new one? Which deck currently use Ysera in wild? You should be grateful that you get new Ysera loaned for free and that you get dust refund for old Ysera so you can actually craft a card that is useful in wild.
I am grateful for the free dust for an old, nerfed card; I was explaining that it was a nerf, and thus the logic for dust refunds.
Honestly, neither Ysera will see much play in Wild.
Which deck plays old Ysera over new Ysera?
Theoretically any deck that wants dream cards but doesn't want to play ysera from hand. No such deck exists right now, I believe. But duel and recruit mechanics don't work with new Ysera, for example. But obviously there are better things to recruit.
Very easy answer. Dragon rogue. My dragon rogue which runs apothecary and deathwing to pull dragons from the hand runs ysera. Would be terrible to run the new one over the old one since I’d never get the Battlecry.
One consequence is it will force players to choose whether or not to keep old Ysera for classic mode (knowing that it will be useless in Wild) or take the dust but have one less tool for Classic. In classic era, Ysera actually held some value because it was the ultimate value/greed card that was really difficult to remove.
Interestingly, this last-minute change might make Ysera one of the rarer legendaries floating around in classic mode.
On a side note, Ysera was the first golden legendary I ever unpacked (way back at launch). Fortunately, I also have a non-golden version because I am wayyy too sentimental to ever dust her.
theoretically res priest can use her but even then its sub optimal
Why the unnecessary nerfs? she wasnt much played to begin with.
The nerfs are because of the new version of ysera being printed which will use the same dream cards and it would be overpowered if they didn’t nerf the dreams. They could’ve used separate dream cards, but decided not to and og ysera was a casualty, not the target.
it could be worse, it could be Deathwing.
what about in a Highlander deck?
