Finally, brave the Barrens during Pre-Release Weekend from March 26-29! A private pre-release Fireside Gathering will give you a chance to bust open Forged in the Barrens card packs before the expansion officially launches on March 30. In addition to opening your packs early, Pre-release will also feature Fireside Brawls that will let you play with new cards!
- In the Forged in the Barrens No Cards Barred! Brawl, you’ll be able to construct decks using the cards that you open during the Pre-Release event. There are no restrictions on class or duplicates, so go crazy!
- We’ve also got A Recipe for Tenacity, a pre-constructed Brawl that will include new deck recipes from the upcoming set for you to play with. You won’t need to have pre-purchased packs to play this Brawl.
Private pre-release Fireside Gatherings will take place the weekend before Forged in the Barrens goes live, March 26 at 10:00 a.m. PT – March 29 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
Head over to FiresideGatherings.com to register your one-person event!
In light of the ongoing global health risks associated with in-person gatherings, we’ve canceled official Fireside Gatherings for the near future and disabled the ability to create public events.
We do, however, want individuals at home to have an opportunity to partake in the upcoming Pre-Release weekend, so we’ll be keeping private event functionality intact. Players can register their own one-person event to enjoy opening Forged in the Barrens card packs from March 26-29.
Thank you all, innkeepers and patrons, for understanding.
Private Fireside Gatherings will:
- Be eligible to receive Nemsy Necrofizzle if they fulfill all hosting prerequisites. This means having an established Tavern - Learn more about how to establish your tavern here.
- Be eligible for the Fireside Gatherings card back.
- Allow event listing creation the same day it is meant to be hosted.
- Have the same Fireside Brawls as public Fireside Gatherings.
- Be visible on the website only to the innkeeper hosting it. The Fireside Gathering itself will be visible in the game client, and participants will be able to search and find it in the client as well.
Private Fireside Gatherings will NOT:
- Be visible on Tavern or upcoming event pages.
- Show up if anyone tries to search for it on the upcoming events page.
- Count towards any Tavern or Innkeeper progression. They will not count towards establishing your Tavern. You will still need to host public events in the future with at least 3 check-ins in order to establish your Tavern.
i don't understand how we can win the bundles can someone explain a bit better please?what exactly we need to be doing?
I would like to know too.
Why they do this shit of letting streamers create and test decks for a week and ruin the fun for the other players? Does my money worth less than theirs or something? I used to play a lot and i really loved this early days of the expansion when everyone was playing everything, trying new decks, playing fun decks. Nowadays you play vs netdecking since day 1. I never bhough any more packs since they started doing this and almost left Hearthstone because of it. I just do not feel compeled to play netdecking 100% of the time...
My guess is historical data. This won't be the first time they have had streamers test the cards prior to release and they probably saw an uptick in overall sales as a result. However I would argue that it doesn't really modify the overall experience. Unless you are playing a new expansion within the first few hours of it releasing, then you will likely play against a lot net decks. It only takes a couple hours for strong decks to be identified. And many people will still likely want to experiment with cards or decks that don't get tested on the streams.
I don't get it either. Ladder has been demonstrably worse in the first days of each expansion since they started doing this.
IMO it feels like the biggest problem with hearthstone is how quickly a new set feels "solved" and these theorycraft streams really exacerbate that problem. I thought that time when everyone is still experimenting was really healthy for the game and its so much shorter now. I wish there was some other pre-release content they could do before the set comes out and then have the theorycraft stream on the day the set releases.
Because they have analysed the data and found that beaming gameplay and hype to the masses through popular "influencers" ahead of release increases the profits of an expansion
Pre-release week SUCKS
I didn't want to create a reddit account, but i guess its ok just for this and not opening it for the rest of the year
Reddit is amazing. Need a bit of time to understand how it works and find the right thread, but it's cool af !
Big chungus 100% wholesome rick and do ya thing reddit with gamestop stocks le reddit army is here ,hello there? /r/unexpectedprequels no /r/expectedprequels upvoted my dude
Wait, does this mean we can use cards from all 10 classes put together??
In that Fireside Gathering, yes. That's been the case for a while though.
It's to make sure that even if you open only a few cards for each class that you can still create decks with them. Imagine getting the Mage Legendary and wanting to play with it, but not getting any other Mage cards. You'd be stuck, but now you can just put it in a deck with some other cards and still use it. :)
So I just made a private fireside gathering for the friday the week before within the time it said, this means I can open packs then right?
Yes
Hmm, so did they actually just push the release date back a week?
? They did not announce the date earlier.
They didn't but the last date to preorder the bundle was 22nd and bundle preorder ends just before expansion releases. So people estimated that release date will be 22nd or 23rd.
Pretty sure thats what they do now for the sake of the influences streams, yep
If early pack opening is going to happen next weekend, I would assume that means the new patch will be Tuesday the 23rd. Does that mean hyper spoilers all next week?
