More Reverted Nerfs Announced - Paladin, Priest & Rogue
A selection of Nerfed cards will see their nerfs reverted later this month and before Forged in the Barrens goes live. Blizzard announced the cards for Paladin, Priest and Rogue this time.
The Changes:
- Call to Arms Now costs 4 Mana again.
- Power Word: Shield Now also draws 1 card again, and costs 1 Mana.
- Blade Flurry Now a 2 mana card again, but still can't hit face.
- The Caverns Below Now 4 minions to complete and produces 5/5's after again.
- Necrium Apothecary Now costs 4 Mana again.
- Galakrond, the Nightmare Cards drawn now cost 0 Mana again.
- Edwin VanCleef Now costs 3 Mana again.
Quote from Alec Dawson20.0 nerf reverts. Paladin, Priest, and Rogue.
Paladin:
Call to Arms (4 mana)
Priest:
Power Word: Shield (1 mana, draws a card)
Rogue:
Blade Flurry (2 mana, no face dmg)
Caverns Below (4 minions, 5/5 stats)
Necrium Apothecary (4 mana)
Galakrond (cards cost 0)
Edwin (3 mana)
Silver Hand Recruits are 1-mana minions, so Rally will get those back even without running any 1-cost minions in the deck. Plus you could stick First Day of School in there if you really wanted 1-mana minions that couldn't be Recruited.
I'd argue that's not anywhere near as awkward as you make it out to be. You wouldn't be sad in the slightest if your Call to Arms pulled, say, Righteous Protector, and being able to run the Protector as a one drop means your early game tempo is more consistent.
Okay, The Caverns Below REALLY better be banned when they add Ungoro to Duels as they announced.
It's not a problem with a nerfed boar and patches, the toxic part of the card was the sudden amount of damage that they could deal with a bunch of 1 mana chargers
Where did they mention adding ungoro to duels??

Thank you for taking the time to respond. <3
People could also be wrong about the release date. maybe that is only the time of the new patch and the prepackage date will be updated. The whole 3/22 for the barrens is based solely on when the package leaves the store. pure supposition though that kind of supposition has been correct in the past.
Keep in mind, if the expansion does not release in March, then all players have grounds to request a refund for the pre purchase bundles as the terms in the agreement regarding timelines are not met. (Says you can open them in March)
Similar to how WC3 Reforged got delayed into 2020 and Blizz gave auto refunds to all who requested it.
Team 5 is playing with fire here if they delay the expansion.
Just one Priest card got reverted?
Where is my lovely revert for this card?
Moving it back to 3 mana WAS the revert....
They should Re-Re-Revert it...
omfg if quest rogue is gonna be thing in wild I might actually quit the game completely lol
Quest Rogue Final Form.
While The Caverns Below gets reverted, the deck still won't work exactly the same way it used to. After patch 15.0.0.32708, enchantments like from Sonya Shadowdancer override the 5/5 enchantment. So, no more chaining Southsea Deckhands and the like. And I thought that change also affected tokens like from Giggling Inventor, but I can't find anything regarding that. Also, no more Stonetusk Boar with Charge. In return, Rogue has way more draw now, additional return effects... they'll manage. Might even fit with Galakrond, giving you endless 5/5 lackeys.
This is some really spicey change, as well as Call to Arms. It's been so long since Quest Rogue and Even Paladin, and much has happened since, but I'm sure at least Quest Rogue will affect the Wild meta.
Also, I'm glad that this is the change for Blade Flurry, and the one I wanted for all these years honestly. With Kingsbane around (and doing well), I really wouldn't want to see the original version in Wild anymore.
Cool stuff!
What was the point of the Edwin nerf in the first place, then...?
To stop turn 1 14/14 edwins in standard.
Very dissapointing that there are no new card reveals. At this point im thinking they will just dump all cards in one go right before the patch release.
Bad way to do it as it will hurt their pre order purchases since most players wait to see the new cards prior to buying a bundle.
Chillout, expansion drops probably in April so they have a lot of time to spoil new cards
The pre-order closes on March 22, so there's some reason to think that the expansion is supposed to drop approximately then.
