Don’t think it will see play in Highlander decks. Highlander decks already face tight card selection. Forgoing all 4 cost cards for him might turn out to be too much. Still, if the battlecry includes board clear, it might be worth the try.

Yes pretty sure you discover the options. Probably rush, divine shield, fury, taunt, draw 1 2 or 3, and other battlecry or death rattle effects. Maybe a board clear, death rattle minion, copy the minion?

for 5-5-5 one option is taunt + battlecry draw 2 cards

As a paladin player, I am not excited.

The next one today seems to be Paladin or Priest oriented and is not like the class is gonna be anywhere bad next rotation.

I don't think they want, or should want, highlander to always be around. It's fun to give it support every once and a while, but not everyone likes highlander decks or the play patterns they create.
