Core Set Has Been Released!
The new Core set has been revealed and we have taken great effort and put every new card in our database, ready for you to use.

Here's the Link to the Deckbuilder which now has a special tab with the Core Set. You can now create decks to your heart's content with the new Core set.
Below we have listed the new cards of the Core set as well as some notable changed cards. With 235 cards it is obviously too much to list everthing!

3 mana Wild Growth and 6 mana Nourish are pretty meh. Menagerie Warden, Druid of the Claw and Cenarius are good midrange minions but when was the last time midrange didn't suck ass and no Swipe and no Wrath hurts. Also lost Savage Roar. At least Mark of the Wild is decent I guess.
The new card is a 1 mana 3/5 as long as you play it alongside a spell that costs 3 or more. So exciting.
I'm shocked.... Shocked!... I tell you, that Sorcerer's Apprentice is gone
I try so hard to be positive but I'm so upset. They butchered Hunter. They actually straight up removed all of Hunter's good cards, and replaced them with awful ones. I know Hunter isn't a very well liked class around here, but I'm devastated.
Anyone else check Shaman to make sure they didn't get any evolve cards?

What will happen if I unpack my classic packs when the core set will be released? Will I get the card I'm missing or?
Core set and Classic are 2 different things. All of Classic is rotating to wild. The brand new core set cards are not being added to classic packs.
Cards from Classic and Basic will be rotated to a new set called Legacy, so you would get cards missing from that set I guess.
Not happy with Druid losing swipe, Druid looks weaker.
Wow! This will shake up a lot of things.
Druid has no more Swipe and Wrath, Mage no Frostbolt, Rogue no Eviscerate, but Stonetusk Boar 2/1 and Murloc 3/1 Charge for 2.
Several crazy buffs of strong Arena cards.
Many important cards are gone and some really interesting new cards are here. New Alex also looks quite nice

Only seen two Charge cards that I've noticed: Grommash Hellscream and the DH legendary.
EDIT: Make that three: King Krush is also there.
Al'Akir is also still there.
DH is now the only class with access to cheap chargers and they killed my wild Anyfin deck :(

I guess they really want to push the "not in the face" type of gameplay.
Has it been confirmed that changed core set cards will also be changed in wild? They are 2 different sets.
Except for DH, they get a 2 mana charge lifesteal with an inbuild bounce effect and an 8/8 pseudo charge (although I'm not sure if it can go face the turn you play it).

it's weird they didn't add new secrets to rouge given they've been pushing them again so much.

Why are the spell classes inconsistently distributed?
Why is shaman the only class with a transform/silence effect in its core set?
