Core Set Has Been Released!
The new Core set has been revealed and we have taken great effort and put every new card in our database, ready for you to use.
Here's the Link to the Database for the Core Set where you will find every card from the new Core set.
Here's the Link to the Deckbuilder which now has a special tab with the Core Set. You can now create decks to your heart's content with the new Core set.
Below we have listed the new cards of the Core set as well as some notable changed cards. With 235 cards it is obviously too much to list everthing!
BONUS: User Hikarigami made an AWESOME graphic where you can see just which changes there have been and how the Core set was put together. Thanks for the amazing work!

Overall I'm impressed with the new core set there is some room for improvement and a couple of holes in some of the classes that could do with filling but Barrons might do that. Eitherway I only really see 1 card in the core getting nerfed or changed and obviously its a DH one but this should be the refresher the standard format needs to offer a lot of new deck building designs.
Demon Hunter - Seems Okay other than illidari Inquisitor which is going to get nerfed within days to weeks.
Druid - Balanced.
Hunter - Other than Dire Frenzy its balanced Dire frenzy is one of them cards that can greatly impact the game even more so with hunters being able to discover or draw what they are after from their deck.
Mage - Balanced.
Paladin - Finally a decent secret for paladins and core support for silverhands to make them viable. Athough perma buffing their attack might turn out too powerful when combined with giving them divine shields 5 3/1 divine shields will be difficult to deal with on turn 6 for everyone but Shamans who have double proc aoe.
Priest - Looks balanced.
Rogue - Could have used an aoe even if it wasn't a full board one also suprised Backstab didn't go to 3 damage giving its limitations.
Shaman - Balanced.
Warlock - Might be a tad powerful in all.
Warrior - Warsong Outrider won't see play as for 1 less attack and health you can run the murloc dude and get a free copy of it when it dies for future turns and I don't think shieldmaiden will either but Bloodsail deckhand is a staple card in any warrior decks that run weapons and Warsong commander is decent enough to see play with the other rush support cards the game has.
Basic - Explosive sheep is going to slow down a lot of early game rush deck although its DH who mainly need slowing down and they have silence in spades to deal with them. Also suprised to see Baron make it back into the core set that is very risky as we have a lot of decent deathrattles in the game at the moment. Other than the new Ysera I can see all the new legendaries seeing play at some point.
Are you an expert?
The Bluegill nerf completely fucks all Anyfin decks. Over the years I've slowly crafted my Secret Anyfin deck in golden and now just like that, it's fucked. I'm pretty triggered tbh. Like uninstall triggered.
I thought in wild you can still use the old version of Bluegill ?
So there will be two different versions of Bluegill in Wild?
Yes.
I don't understand why they made the horrible choice to "reuse" cards. They could have easily made a new card called "Bluefin" that was a 3/1 rush murloc and not caused rampant confusion and programmatic nightmares for sites like this.
Something else to be happy about: when I don't know if I'll be able to play an entire game, I sometimes just start a match vs the Innkeeper. With so many garbage cards removed from basic and classic sets now its decks should be much better and the matches a little bit more fun ^^
Holy tits! That Lord Jaraxxus buff is what i've been waiting for since forever! No more health cap boys :) Warlock will probably be one of the best control classes when the changes launch.
Can someone clarify? If I have Nozdormu and other aspect of dragons in gold (classic set), will I also get the gold version in core set?
Lol no
I feel very disappointed with some classes
What will happen with our current golden Basic cards? How can we get golden cards for new Core Set?
Right now in the Link to the Database for the Core Set, there is a Priest card and a Neutral card missing. OCD alert.....
Fixed! Thanks for letting us know. :)
Another thought: Any class that is good with Wandmaker just got alot better, not alot of bad 1 cost spells especially for Priest.
If bliz change Nozdormu to "Start of Game: If this is NOT in BOTH players' decks, turns are only 15 seconds long.", I will forgive them all trash they made, even jade idol.
I don't get where they are heading with DH. When apparently Knife Juggler, Wrathscale Naga and Nethrandamus won't be around, then why bother keeping other token related stuff like Coordinated Strike and Feast of Souls? Instead we get the new legendary which has the potential to be as obnoxious as Pen Flinger.
Guess I will stick to Paladin then. At least that class got an interesting new core. More dude synergy looks nice.
Yeah it’s kinda confusing. I just got into token DH and I’m loving it a lot, so it’s slightly strange that they are dropping the archetype out of standard so quickly...unless there’s token support in Barrens that we don’t know about yet. I do play Wild as well so I guess it’s not THAT big of a deal and I can just take the deck over there. Just strange to me.
Spent literally all day making this graph.
Dunno if anyone wants to pin this up somewhere, but it's basically a cheat sheet on what changes are coming once rotation hits.
