Core Set Has Been Released!
The new Core set has been revealed and we have taken great effort and put every new card in our database, ready for you to use.
Here's the Link to the Database for the Core Set where you will find every card from the new Core set.
Here's the Link to the Deckbuilder which now has a special tab with the Core Set. You can now create decks to your heart's content with the new Core set.
Below we have listed the new cards of the Core set as well as some notable changed cards. With 235 cards it is obviously too much to list everthing!
BONUS: User Hikarigami made an AWESOME graphic where you can see just which changes there have been and how the Core set was put together. Thanks for the amazing work!

Great job!
*picks up crown* you dropped this
Amazing!!
Top left caption unclear. Should say all classic and basic cards not listed under leaving. “Elsewhere” wasn’t clear that you meant elsewhere on the image.
Some are under Changed, hence why I left it more open.
Great job! You deserve a plae in a Hall of Fame of Hearthpwn. Hope the administration of the website sees this post. Great Job my friend!

https://twitter.com/bmkibler/status/13651460946744Is there any good resource listing the cards that are in and out of the Core Set or so I need to go through it myself?
YOU ARE A LEGEND!
Amazing work, especially done solo. I put a link to it in the main post up top with your username attached. This deserves all the credit you get from it. Kudos to you sir or madame.
Mountain Giant's Hall of Fame, which I didn't include since nothing is changing with them.
Thanks for the moment of terror though lol
Running Nozdormu the Eternal is how you find your fellow memers, and bond over mutually sacrificing most of your turn time for no reason other than it's funny.
True kings amongst an ocean of plebs
The rogue core set cards are soooo bad.... just... why...
Not sure about power level, but they aren't exciting at all. I would have loved Unearthed Raptor coming back with nurubian egg being back and all.
Definitely. The buffs on some cards make the power level okay I guess, but it’s so boring, I agree. Seems like it will just be an aggro class that maybe can steal cards if they decide to add a bunch of support for it again.
What is has been for years
Sadly, not only rogue.
This core set is weak, which is of course on purpose, because they want you to buy expansions.
This has never really been true of Reno/Highlander Hunter - you often end up discarding cards you need. I play a lot of Reno Hunter in Wild, and the change to Tracking actually makes it interesting in that deck, and I'll certainly test it out.
Hunter has been perennially weak in the older format, because the strength of its evergreens precluded lots of groovy designs in the expansions. While the class is typically pigeon-holed as the Face class, Hunter has really only received two playable Face damage spells since the Beta (Quickshot, and the Dragonbreath card - only the former of which sees marginal play in Wild) - the raw power of Hero Power, Eaglehorn, Kill Command, sometimes Huffer was oppressive enough that everything added to the class had to be kind of slow, in comparison. In Wild, Mage has access to Fireball, Flaming Torch, Cloud Prince and Explosive Runes - four different versions of "deal six damage to face." Needless to say, Hunter does not have access to four different versions of Kill Command, or four different versions of Animal Companion. Looking at the HSReplays numbers, no other class currently relies on its evergreens nearly as much as Hunter - six of its evergreens have class play-rates above 50%. That's 12 cards out of 30 in the majority of (otherwise different) decks. Hopefully, with the three best 3-drops removed from its Core set, there is enough room opened up to give Hunter some powerful cards in the expansions.
Fingers crossed, etc . . .
