Update 11:06 AM: Added note about Blackrock Mountain.
Hearthstone Patch 8036
A small patch has appeared on the Blizzard download servers which contains information about three upcoming card backs.
Blackrock Mountain - Possible New Hearthstone Adventure / Expansion
Speculation: We may be getting a Blackrock Mountain adventure / expansion. There is a string which points to a presale of it becoming available and buying it will reward you with a Molten Core card back. This may not be final, it could also be Blizzard just messing around with us. Keep that in mind!
If you are not familiar with Blackrock Mountain, it is a massive Mountain between Burning Steppes and Searing Gorge (Warcraft zones) which is home to Ragnaros, Elementals, the Dark Iron, and Nefarian. In World of Warcraft, it houses several instances and three raids, and the first Hearthstone adventure, Naxxramas, was based off a raid in World of Warcraft.

New Card Backs
Three new card backs have been datamined, but no images are present in the client at this time. It looks like Ragnaros will be an upcoming Seasonal card back, and the other two are related to achievements.
- Molten Core
- Reward From: License Detected
- Note: purchase brm presale
- Ragnaros
- Reward From: Ranked Season Play
- Golden Celebration
- Reward From: License Detected
- Note: golden celebration cardback
Historically speaking, Achievements / Rewards which trigger off a "license detection" are related to owning a game (Warlords of Draenor Collector's Edition) or ticket (BlizzCon) on your Battle.net account. We cannot say for certain how Molten Core or Golden Celebration will be obtained at this time, but Molten Core does currently point towards a content pre-sale.
No. Therazane is in Deepholm.
Oh my. Nerdgasm :D
I was kind of hoping it would NOT be the Ragnaros/Dark Iron parts of Blackrock, since those are allready so present in the game AND we've just had a World of Warcraft 10th Anniversary sending us into Molten Core. I'm kind of over the place right now, I'd rather see the Nefarian parts and highlight a much less known part of the Warcraft lore and figures. But seems like it's more Ragnaros. Ah well, I'm sure they'll make something cool out of it.
Still though. Dragons > Elementals :P
Blackrock Mountain seems like a great choice!

that's priceless.

Yup definite play along with that vid.
Here Blizzard, take my money and give me those flammable card backs.
If they do this I find it interesting they are, they have already used 2 boss from there as cards and I think 3 others as well. Most the trash looks like same too. Molten Core was one of my favorite raids though during content and loved that they brought it back in wow for the 10th anniversary. Maybe that is why they'd bring it back, because everyone has seen it. They do have amazing art already for Molten Core too. Check it out here. http://wow.gamepedia.com/TCG_Molten_Core_Raid
Magma Rager META INCOMING BABY
BWL is my hope. Would love to see Nefarian - maybe as a transformation card like Jaraxxus (since Nefarian starts in human form in the WOW encounter) -- Transform your hero into the Black Dragon!
How about "Ragnaros Reborn" . If Ragnaros Reborn did not attack this turn, deal 8 damage to a random enemy.
Then you could choose how to use him. Yes, it's good, but how many games get to turn 8 anymore?
Blackrock Depths
Blackrock Spire
Molten Core
Blackwing Lair
Blackrock Caverns
Blackwing Descent
These are the instances and raids present inside Blackrock Mountain. Molten Core seems unlikely as Ragnaros + Baron Geddon are key bosses here and already exist as cards. I would think any of them are possible, but MC seems least likely.
Should be sweet! Tons of classic flavor and nostalgia for any WoW players!
Whoa! It will be freaking awesome if they gonna add exclusive "golden" Cardback for those players who spent in this game more than a year!
If they're going to keep pushing card backs as rewards, it would be nice if you were able to get more enjoyment out of your own ones!
Pretty sure Nefarian will be the final boss. In Wow, he was the highest difficulty final boss in Blackrock Mountain (at least during classic Wow).
Golden is more than likely for early adopters: beta/launch. I dislike Blizzards pre-sale/collectors edition incentives, because in most cases they are spread across all Blizzard games and not tied to the actual 'DLC' you are purchasing. It's a moot point though if you have ALL of their games;and they are free. What was I rambling about again??
When I read the "Golden Card Backs" title, I assumed it meant golden versions of existing card backs. (Think golden/non-golden cards.)
Doesn't sound like that's the case based on the mined info, though.
201 builds later and all they've added are new card backs?
There could also be a bunch of bug fixes! On that note though, just because the game client is 201 versions ahead, doesn't actually mean there's that many real changes to it. Each of those card back strings could have had multiple commits to their source code to finalize it.
There's also a possibility that certain code commits between the current live patch and this datamined patch aren't even in the current patch as they were cherry picked out. Bad cherrypicking could be the reason we've learned of Blackrock Mountain today. Maybe this patch supposed to be just bugfixes, and they forgot to remove the cardback data.
As you can see, there's a few different reasons why the version number really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. It is very easy though for us to use it though to refer to patches!
