Wretched Tiller & Hysteria Interaction Change Coming Next Week!
Hearthstone's developer Iksar just tweeted out that next week Wretched Tiller & Hysteria interaction will get changed. We don't know how just yet.
Looking to get a change out for the Tiller/Hysteria interaction sometime next week. Hope this farmer enjoys his time in the sun while it lasts! pic.twitter.com/usVDb9RfQ7

What's the interaction?
- You basically play Wretched Tiller, give him Immune with Deathspeaker, and then you play Hysteria on him and he'll attack all other minions up to 30 times (60 damage).
- Some other decks also play 2 Deathspeakers or Shrinkmeister to guarantee that full combo potential.
- For a lot of people, this interaction has been really annoying, not only because you can get OTK'd as soon as turn 5-6, but also, because this interaction can skip your turn if you have Ice Block or Time Out! equipped.
I mean, it's better - you're less likely to get the T7 lethals (you'll still get them, ofc, just not as much). Double deathspeaker or one shrinkmeister is remarkably common even early, though!
well, the delay part would be true actually
Just here to say, that changing hysteria AT ALL because of two random cards that are only in a wild combo, is beyond retarded. Change the two irrelevant cards, not the brand new tool you have control decks #facepalm
Just changing Tiller leads to design space issues for future, as well as removing a pretty unique card. There's a few tweaks they can do to immune/deathspeaker mechanics, though, so that's what I expect to be hit.
What if they change Hysteria that you can´t target minions where the stats have changed/reduced? May I´m wrong cause I don´t know all the different combos and I haven´t played Tiller/Hysteria-Combo by myself and haven´t played much against it. But the Combo would still be possible f.e. with the two deathspeaker but not at T7 anymore.
Poeple that suggest to nerf Hysteria are people that like to see Priest Players to suffer.
It's CLEARLY a Wild-Problem.
Should I tell you about the disaster what they did once with Reckless Experimenter ?
This card saw zero play (only in Mecha'thun) but they nerfed it because SN1P-SN4P got released.
So they nerfed it into the ground, it was awful.
In this scenario as well as the current one, it's up to the game mechanic that cuses this problem.
The easy way to fix this OTK is: You cant target minions with spells (and Battlecrys) if they are immune.
So no one will be upset.
So if they changed only wretched tiller, we can use shieldbearer instead with the same combo just to trolling the opponent into skipping a turn.. interesting..
They'll do everything in their power to avoid having to address the turn skipping bug that has been around for five years.

Confused why anyone would downvote this. It's extremely relevant.
This is hotfix material.
As I said in the forums, I think hysteria should be changed to "Choose a minion. It attacks random minions. Repeat for each enemy minion". Then the most damage it could do is 14 dmg.
My other question is why is this allowed to be played 30 times.
What about the grim patron, deathspeaker, defile, knife juggler combo. Why is that only allowed to be played I forgot only 14 times?
those really shouldn't be limited rigth now, the original reason to do that was the Grim Patron otks, and Dreadsteed infinite loops (both for their interaction with Defile ) , but, being wild a fast mode where patreon otk is just a meme, and with dreadsteed nerfed, i think blizzard should allow the 30 max effects in this kind of things, here i would spect a mana rebalance making thiller 6 mana 6/6that deals 5 or 6 to the enemys face when attacks, or a complete change of the effect,, hysteria is fine targeting friendly minions cause you can use it on a friendly giant to clear or any minions to get rid of a stealth minion the main issue here is the 1/1
do the devs test ? apperently no....
Wild is kinda big to test every possibility
Almost good - immunity is no good if it is gone before attack. Make it "make friendly minion immune this turn. Remove after it attacks". But really there's easy solutions to such mess. Many different ways.
But Deathspeaker is nice if it can be comboed to more than one attack. So this particular solution is not good. Id rather touch damage dealer in some way.

Downvote this comment if this combo has been the only way you've ever been able to climb!
How are people downvoting but not answering the question? He literally asked would it be bad and nobody can actually tell why but downvote? Don’t get it.
I don’t think removing Wretched Tiller is the solution. As we all can tell stuff like this will happen again and keep removing cards is bad. Better change interaction or card text.
I feel like the best fixes would be either to make Hysteria only target Enemy Minions, or make Immune minions also non-targetable. Without this specific combo, Wretched Tiller was a pretty much unused card. Maybe a few people used him every so often in silly decks, but the vast majority of players probably forgot the card existed until this combo came out.
Honestly, I bet Blizzard's balance team knew about the combo and thought (incorrectly) that it'd be okay. Something they should realize for the future is that no OTK should come out earlier than Turn 9, or maaaaybe turn 8, with the best luck of the draw. Otherwise you get what's happening now: A large portion of the community latching on to a super quick OTK that's practically unstoppable unless the opponent is also playing the same deck and gets the OTK out even faster, thus ruining the Wild experience (or standard, depending on where the hypothetical otk shows up) for everyone.
At least, this is just my two cents on the subject. I'm not a Top Rank legend player or anything; just a casual player who enjoys a few matches of Hearthstone every day or so.
