Wretched Tiller & Hysteria Interaction Change Coming Next Week!
Hearthstone's developer Iksar just tweeted out that next week Wretched Tiller & Hysteria interaction will get changed. We don't know how just yet.
Looking to get a change out for the Tiller/Hysteria interaction sometime next week. Hope this farmer enjoys his time in the sun while it lasts! pic.twitter.com/usVDb9RfQ7

What's the interaction?
- You basically play Wretched Tiller, give him Immune with Deathspeaker, and then you play Hysteria on him and he'll attack all other minions up to 30 times (60 damage).
- Some other decks also play 2 Deathspeakers or Shrinkmeister to guarantee that full combo potential.
- For a lot of people, this interaction has been really annoying, not only because you can get OTK'd as soon as turn 5-6, but also, because this interaction can skip your turn if you have Ice Block or Time Out! equipped.
That didn't last long.
The fix is simple really, without disrupting basically any of the cards. Wretched Tiller should read :"Deal 2 damage to the enemy hero the first time this attacks each turn." Problem solved.
Just make it 1 damage and not 2. 30 damage isn't enough and you need full combo for it, not worth it then and doesnt change anything but the 1 card no one ran to begin with though I personally think the main culprit is targeted immune. Both cards actually limit a lot of creative space to be honest.
30 damage is enough against literally every class except Warrior genius
In wild, which is what we're talking about? Fuck no.
I don't think that changes anything. If anything I think it makes it worse as Tiller can't kill any other minions.
yeah, thats why i added the Kappa, seriouly, its impossible to make jokes
wild only exists because people were complaining about rotations when they announced them back in 2015, wild being broken is the point
And yet Blizz have a track record of nerfing things for wild. Certainly one of the worst metas since wild became a thing. It's hard to decide how deliberate this was, tbh; they were aware of the deck but didn't think it would be *this* oppressive and format warping, apparently, and yet they did a release on a Friday, without a patch ready to go in case it got out of hand? Idiocy or pulling combo players in with a few days, selling the set on that? I am cynical, though :)
Point is Broken is why wild exists, the problem is when the broken becomes uncounterable.
Wild Nerfs are essential for uncounterable (Naga Giants, Portal OTK mage, Barnes Rez, this). It's why it's consistent that this nerf is acceptable while broken tempo decks with 80% win rates get untouched.
deathspeaker to read: give a friendly minion immune this turn or until it attacks.
solved...
thats a whole lot of unique code behavior for blizzard dev
Again, it's like they do no testing whatsoever. People had already posted this combo on the reveal post in hours, before the cards were released. Is Activision's devs who are paid to balance the game unable to think about these things when they make cards?
That’s what I thought too. These guys get paid but fuck up like that? I don’t know because transparency has never been a strength at Blizzard :D
Solved Kappa
That would be hilarious if Blizz did that, but I somehow doubt that even they would buff a combo deck instead of kill it :) I'm expecting a tweak to immune mechanics, but we'll see :) It's nice to put old golden commons to use!
Also, just to clarify, it would be hilarious in concept. It would be abysmal to keep this meta, tbh,
i spect something lime a change of effect, or a mana rebalance, make it more expensive with stats and effec acording to the mana change seem the option,
well, looks like i can't make a joke anymore, people take things too seriously
lmao are people really taking you seriously? man
