4 New skins [Valeera, Uther, Garrosh, Anduin]
- You'll be able to obtain these skins if you buy a new unannounced bundle (we don't know exactly when and for how much).
- Normal Bundle (4 skins) - probably the most expensive one
- Mini Bundle (2 skins)
- Guan Yu Uther Bundle (Uther skin only)
- Zhuge Liang Anduin Bundle (Anduin skin only)
Quote from hypoQuestion: What is Three Kingdoms??
Answer: tl;dr its an era of Chinese history that gets often represented in media!! Basically, three kingdoms at odds and the "leader" of each kingdom (plus a love interest) are the characters that we represented for hero skins!!!
There certainly are more portraits this year. A lot even, but this was also a request from the community (more cosmetics), so this should be considered a positive. There is also the fact that a growing player fraction are old players, leading to an increased interest in skins. The old 10€ skins were both released to early and were too expensive, THAT made them rare.
When will blizzard release more alternative hero skin for rogue class? I'm no WoW expert but surely there must exist a beloved and popular rogue in the lore.
DH class has the same amount of alternative hero skins as rogue. Why does that matter? Because rogue has existed since ancient times. DH came to existance 2-3 expansions ago. Compared to other classes where is the love for rogue? Blizz even nerfed Valeera's bra (at China's request)
I love Valeera and Maeiv but variation is nice. Heck by now I can settle with Bobby motherfucking Kotick as rogue alternative "hero".
All three are boring and not really needed.
Where is the male Rogue skin, hm?
Only three are boring? What one caught your eye?
Remember when alt heroes were rare? Every day it seems Hearthstone edges closer and closer to all the mobile games I hate. Gems next.
New Heroes are just as rare as before, the difference is that they are releasing more skins of existing heroes which is perfectly fine for me.
Yeah but those mobile games use the skins as their monetization. Hearthstone double dips with paid skins AND pay to win lootbox gambling.
All good really. Anduin has a nice mirror greeting, but maybe not the greatest lines otherwise. His portrait is still sweet thou. Those colors... I'm really positively surprised by these portraits
Who else get some League of Legends vibes from these skins? Uther and Garrosh look like warring kingdoms Garen and Jarvan.
yeah, snce both are inspired in the romance of the three kingdoms is not a surprise
And to be fair, Garen and Jarvan are both part of the first 40 champions, which were inspired by Warcraft.
true, Warring Kindoms Garen shows it completely being almost Varian's twin xD
thats my fav skin in that game
None of them are part of the original 40 champions
Any idea how much all four will be?:)
I'd say the worst case scenario each one will cost $10, best one will be $5 (lol blizzard not being greedy). For some reason Valeera and Garrosh can't be bought separately, only Anduin and Uther. Or they could make $15 skin +5-10 class packs for each one (again, Valeera and Garrosh being in a mini bundle for $30).
So, the bundle with every skin may cost around $40 just for the skins or $60 where they give you 20 extra class packs (5 for each class). I have no idea why rogue and warrior come in a mini bundle while the other 2 not. Is it related to the chinese lore or?
The overlords are pleased, blizzard, abandoning your culture for money is always the way
Lunar new Year events are a standart in Blizzard games for ages, this isn't even the first lunar new year event for HS.
Well I suppose they could do a 4th of July event, where all characters wear cowboy hats and hold hamburgers and coke bottles instead of swords. Or maybe an AR redneck Rexxar, CA Gold digger Jaina, fat trailer park Thrall and Rap MC Gul'dan (AKA Gold $ Orc lord from tha underground)
I'm sure it will fit right into a medieval/renaissance fantasy universe ;)
Not only are Lunar New Year events standard in Blizzard games, this is a time period of China that the current leaders of China actually despise. Even though it might've been their greatest period to date, for many, many reasons.
