This week's brawl is Visions of Sayge!
Rules:
Sayge needs help divining your future. Each turn choose one of two powerful cards to add to your hand. But choose wisely - your opponent gets the other card!
Rewards:
A Classic Card Pack for winning the Brawl once.
I'm not sure if I understand this. Do they not test their brawls at all?
If you don't play 2 cards per turn, you'll quickly end up with 10 cards and you can't even pick your own cards anymore. At that point your cards are 100% decided by your opponent.
I don't know if the card selection pool is random, but I've seen way too many purposely useless cards, like Tip the Scales.
Could have been a good brawl if they actually thought about it for a second. Now it's endless turns of "My hand is too full!". Apparently they don't play test their brawls.
Huge variance, abysmal in terms of fun... So much milling, so many DHs because of the cheap cards to try and vaguiely empty your hand. Still guaranteed to be milling by turn 5. Design team just failed hard this time, IMO. The choose one is basically 'give your opp one of these cards, burn the other' in lategame. Fun. Can't see an argument for this being even vaguely well designed.
Great brawl!
I really like this one. Give the expensive cards to your opponent and cruise to an easy win :D
One of the worse brawls ever
Visions of Sayge... why? Was Griftah quarantened?
I concept was decent, but the implementation was awful. As people have said, since you end up getting 3 cards a turn, you end up burning a lot, which can be used against you since it's hard to play 3 random cards in the same turn. Think it would've made everything better if every card was discounted by 2 mana.
I noticed that the matches were really long and came down to too much RNG at the end, which is a nightmare to play for the average game
"My Hand is Full"
They just made the recipe one, but with a Discover effect at the start of the turn, i don't hate the idea of the discover part, but is just obvious that they did this along the way and didn't even tested it. I hope that if this brawls comes back in the future they adjust it to make it playable without butning half of your deck
This is the worst one yet.
Starting with 5 mana crystals, increase maximum hand size to 15 and then its maybe enjoyable.
“My Hand Is Too Full”
What a shitty brawl. Insane who thought this would be fun. Hand full with expensive crappy spells within 3 turns.
Unity in the comment section under a brawl, that must be a first.
Thanks Blizzard.
Blizzard Dev: How about we turn Griftah, a card nobody uses into a tavern brawl
One of the worst designed brawls yet, if they don't fix this one it goes to show how much they care.
Garbage..hands are full after turn 3
I won first time!
Thankfully my opponent conceded after we got to the stage of cards burning every turn (ie by about turn 3).... obviously their disgust and ability to put up with this brawl couldn't last as long as me.... probably this is the aim of this week's brawl - which player gets most frustrated with the bad mechanics first?
Feel I should play it one more time just to concede and give another frustrated player a free pack of cards now.
What's the point of having a deck if you burn all goddamn cards ?
I played the druid deck, more than half of it is 5+ cost cards so you have no hope of playing cards in the early game. Wtf did they smoke ?
