Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Meta Decks - Post Nerfs Edition
Nearly a week after the Balance Patch, we took a long hard look at what decks were being played that did well on Ranked Ladder. Here's what we found!
SHAMAN
Evolve Shaman is back in a big way. It was already really solid and then their main counters got nerfed and suddenly there's a boom in the Shaman's prospect and numbers. Jambre made a truly fantastic in-depth guide for the deck, attached to a list he believes in (but also with options to swap cards). Open it up and give it a vote if you liked it!

WARRIOR
DeadDraw was among the first to make this deck popular and so we present his deck, as well as a slightly different version that adds more removal in Coerce for things like a big Edwin, early in the game. There's something to be said for both versions!

ROGUE
GatorMatthew has made a string of nice deck guides, and this one for Whirlkick Rogue is no different. There's also a more traditional Miracle Rogue deck with Secrets and Shadowjeweler Hanar. Both decks do very well currently, so if one version isn't working out for you, then perhaps trying the other version might be a solution.

PALADIN
Paladin didn't get touched by the nerfs, but the main classes it was good against did. That doesn't mean Paladin is not still kicking ass! We brought you 2 lists here, with different angles, one a pure Paladin, one a Libram version with Pen Flingers and Animated Broomsticks that can require some APMs to get your turn done sometimes.

"we found a whole bunch of them". Oookay.
I don't know at what ranks you are playing but in legend rogue is even more popular than evolve shaman. Also no demon hunter at all here.
So sad that u cant play any of the warrior deck because of risky skipper, And that i need to buy a whole adventure to do so
am just wondering when will those idiots nerf evolve shaman
when u learn to play they will nerf the game for u
Priest and OTK DH are good too.
...only 4 classes tho?
There is no "meta" without unplayable classes.
It feels like this list is incomplete, though.
On ladder I haven't faced a rogue since like, before Darkmoon was released. And I'm still seeing demon hunters. The nerfs were good, but I would say those decks are still relevant in the meta.
1 drop + coin + 1 drop on turn 1... into Wriggling Horror on 2 is just so much pressure. And they still have most of their hand refill in tact. Only one of those cards got hit.
It's not so much that there are unplayable classes or that these are the only good decks and classes around, the meta is fairly balanced right now.
We wanted to highlight the decks we felt had the most potential, even if they are not played as much or at all layers of the meta.
I'm pretty confident that we will be sick and tired of Evolve Shaman again before we see the introduction of the mini-expansion. It's just that good that it will be everywhere soon enough.
What rank are you playing in? Where I'm at is mostly warlocks, rogues and shaman
I'm currently playing at D2. This morning I played 4 games and I had 3 warriors and 1 demon hunter.
Maybe I'm just lucky I don't see the other classes? :)
actually only one shaman, others just kekw decks that you will see 1 of 10 games when shamans are 9 of 10 games
