Levels 27 & 30 Rewards Track Compensation - Live Today!
Compensation for people who reached levels 27 and 30 on the reward track prior to the patch 19.2 release will be live today.
Quote from BlizzardWe made several updates to the Rewards Track in the 19.2 patch. Today, we’ll be compensating players who reached levels 27 & 30 on the Rewards Track prior to the 19.2 patch being released. Eligible players will be automatically credited with 50 gold for each of those two levels.
Actually, since the last update with the changes, just doing all your daily and weekly quests will end you with about 10k gold during the expansion cycle. This is better than the old system ever was, because these 10k don't count the XP from just playing or the achievements. And also not the non-gold rewards. The game is still too expensive, sure, but what they promised at the start (more gold and non-gold rewards than before) is actually true now.
I dunno why you think you get less still?
Are you under the impression that this track ends at the end of the month? Cause you have time to do it until the next expansion launches around early April next year
No I'm not under the impression that it will end soon. I realize I have time to hit level 49 and maybe beyond, but that doesn't equate to enough gold to buy packs for next season in the amount that I was previously earning. The amount of packs I was earning to what I will earn now is roughly half so I contend that won't be enough to make a decent deck like it once was.
I get it...I get it...Blizzard wants money. I gave them some, but don't plan on giving more each season. It's just not worth it when there are other FTP games to engage in or pay-once games. I don't ever intend to spend money on subscription based games and that's what they're essentially doing.
So...the exp count is still 5k for exp even after lvl50? What's going on in this game?
Uhm no, after level 50 you need 1350 xp per level until a certain level which I think is 70-80 perhaps.
then after 80 how much is for exp?
1500 and that would be the xp needed for 1 level from now on.
50 gold for completing 2 levels??? SWEET! Now everything is made right with the rewards track!
I'm currently level 41 and I have 2950 in gold. If I make it (that's a big IF) to level 49 I'll earn another 2100 gold...that's enough for 50 packs next season...I'll be able to open at least enough cards to make a really mediocre deck. THANKS BLIZZARD!!!
FTP is officially dead...unless you're content with bronze.
It's not an if question at all. We're MONTHS away from another expansion. It is literally impossible for you not to hit 50 before that as long as you do your daily quests. In fact, if you continue doing your weekly and daily quests, you should be level 50 in approximately 3-4 weeks, and the expansion is probably 8-10 weeks away at the bare minimum, possibly even longer.
Edit: and let's not pretend the game is less friendly to free to play players today than it was a couple of years ago. The truth is that no one who is struggling now were playing free to play a year ago just fine. The difference isn't that big, it's arguable if it even exists outside of prejudicial bias. But even if it does, it coesn't really change anything in favor of your argument. What killed free to play was standard rotations.
Thankfully however, there is a game mode that is absurdly welcoming to free to play players, and that is Wild. Since wild doesn't rotate any cards, you never lose your cards, and you can effortlessly get legend in Wild as a free to play player because some of the best decks in the game don't require many expensive cards. For real, what do you need for Odd Paladin? One legendary. Sure, you might want Lothraxion too, but he's hardly necessary.
The point is that you guys are making really weird arguments based on your negative perception of the battlepass. The truth is that battlepass didn't make the game any less friendly to f2p-players than it was since standard started rotating.
Let's talk again when the next expansion launches and we can see how much gold you have made then. It's clear that you're making bad assumptions on how much you're going to get, because in reality you should be closer to level 80 at a minimum by the time the next expansion rolls around, if not higher.
"The truth is that battlepass didn't make the game any less friendly to f2p-players than it was since standard started rotating."
I would disagree because prior to the rewards track, I had the ability as an FTP player to earn enough gold to buy nearly 100 packs...now I'll be lucky to get 50.
I don't know what your definition of "friendly" is, but in my book Blizzard isn't rolling out the carpet to FTP players...in fact...they're doing the opposite.
Nice, now I know why I got that gold.
BTW 4 packs for choosing the champion I knew nothing about...
I got my championship packs, but didn't see anything about the 2x50g :(
Should you get a popup to inform you of the gold being added or is it added silently? If it's been added silently, I likely wouldn't have noticed.
I still haven’t seen my world champion packs come in
According to Ben Hearthstone on Twitter, it can take up to a month for them to appear
i just logged in and i got them
I also received an additional allotment of 450g. This was presumably due to the duels glitch which resets your hero power and treasure.
Got 50 two times along a free pack, guess it was for picking a champion before the world championship? (picked bloodyface who got eliminated immediately).
Bloodyface didn’t come close to winning a single game. You get 0 packs for betting on her.
Everyone get at least one pack just for picking someone.
Same sad story here, The only reason I picked Bface to support USA... and then he made an announcement, Never again
