Rewards Track Client Patch - Updated With Gold Swaps For Packs
Blizzard just sent out a client patch with the announced changes to the Reward Track, swapping certain Packs later in the track for Gold rewards. Read the precise swaps below!
Quote from BlizzardHey everyone,
We’re currently deploying a client hotfix that includes the following:
Updated items on the Rewards Track.
- Level 33 – Old: Year of the Dragon Card Pack → New: 150 Gold
- Level 37 – Old: Scholomance Academy Card Pack → New: 200 Gold
- Level 40 – Old: Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Card Pack → New: 200 Gold
- Level 42 – Old: Ashes of Outland Card Pack → New: 200 Gold
- Level 46 – Old: Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Card Pack → New: 300 Gold
- Level 48 – Old: Year of the Dragon Card Pack → New: 300 Gold
Until this hotfix is fully deployed, some players may get the new rewards but still see the old ones. If you reached these milestones before we implemented these changes, you’ll be retroactively compensated up to the level you reached in a future update.
how generous of them, guess its time to delete hs
Whales never learn.
They just get harpooned, harvested for blubber, then left to explode on a beach.
I TOLD YOU THAT BLIZZ-SHIT IS A WASTE OF SPACE TIME AND RESOURCES "
THEY AIN'T EVEN DOING THE REWARDS SYSTEM RIGHT, REALLY INCREASING EXP AS YOU LVL UP (THIS AIN;T NO RPG SON)
DO IT LIKE SHADOW VERSE EACH LVL = SAME EXP TO GET 1-2 = 500 = 5 WINS 40-41 = STILL 500 EXP /5 WINS
For changes like this, i didnt pre order for the firs time in quite a while and I've been a regular guy pre ordering cause its one of the games i took joy playing.
Now it slowly started getting destroyed, you cant build a collection on this system at all.
Rewards at lower lvl are ok, but once you reach a certain level you get rewarded far less than before because you dont EXP as fast as you think you could, also forcing the tavern pass.
Making the skins is a nice add but its too much already, nothing special
The elevated price tag for pre order is also not appealing for a while now.
If you wanna kill your game, Well GG, you just shove a knife in the chest, now let it bleed out.
Unless you make a motivating change, I dont intend to play as often as I did let alone invest
I kinda feel bad that I preordered the mini bundle (as I have done for the past few). I preordered before the whole track came out, and even at the start of the reward track thing, when I wasn't playing too much, I was impressed at how quickly I was leveling up (basically not looking past the weekly and daily quests haha). I quickly found out that the xp gain slows to a crawl after a while, and now I feel bad that I did that preorder. Thankfully it wasn't too much.
If they can revamp it into a system that actually feels good, maybe I'll come back, but for now, I'll keep enjoying LoR (which has a much better xp-based track system, at least as of right now).
without free gold this game has come to the end.
no reason to pay pass and buy other cardpack
I've spent plenty of money on this game, been playing since Naxxramas adventure. Bought all adventures, pre-ordered Frozen Throne, Witchwood, Rastakhan's, and every year of the Phoenix expansion. I own some of the hero skins, and bought some standalone packs every now and then. It totalts for several hundred dollars.
It was only manageable to keep a stable in-game collection for me due to the fact that I play Wild. I'm not spending another dime until they make this new reward track more reasonable to progress through. If you are as discouraged as I, show your disapproval by not buying anything else.
Just check Reddit if you haven't already. $hitstorm is going through the roof
DAY 7 of protesting for a fairer monetization model
When are you REALLY getting out of this abusive relationship, man?
Yea this is exactly my feeling
For a free to play game it should be possible to achieve the same as a paying costumer, but having some extra perks of being a paying costumer.
At the moment I can't see it working being free to play,
I could get 1 pack a day with quests and wins, now? Good luck
I've pre ordered since Frozen Throne and got some hero skins and such aswell because i took great joy and felt right to fund the game.
I'll play, but won't fund this non sense
Except you get more now over time, you just get less frontloaded...
If it takes you 3x as long but you get 3x the gold then it's still the same overall
-Jack!!!
-Yes Rose?
- It's time to leave BlizzTANIC
Starcraft, diablo, heroes of the storm are dead games. WoW and overwatch nobody really cares about those except long time players so guess which one will be buried next.
This company is garbage.
You can freely count Overwatch into the "dead games" category. That's another L for Blizzard. This time around, they lost their players because they focused all their resources building an E-Sports Overwatch scene, while recycling event after event without any new contet for years.
I played a lot of it like 2 years ago and recently wanted to check it out again. I waited 10 minutes (AS A TANK) to enter a quickplay game.
TL;DR: Overwatch is dead aswell.

They had 10 million MAUs in Q3. It's nowhere close to dead.
Overwatch has 10 million monthly players.

Shadowlands had the highest number of preorders in WoW history meaning at least 3.5 million players still there, plus another 500k-1 mil in Classic.
Starcraft isn't hugely popular but there are over 500k players per day active in ranked.

Diablo3 is still getting 50k sales a month on PS4 alone.

HOTS is pretty dead, yeah, but you're kind of deluding yourself on the rest. The reason they make the design decisions that they do is BECAUSE a large amount of players actually do want them.
Okay. But I, as a player, experience Overwatch as a dead game. As do many, many others. I know how it felt when it was on it's peak. Today's Overwatch feels hollow and lifeless. With Overwatch 2 being announced, it's only going downhill from here.
And I am a HUGE World of Warcraft fan. Played for years. And played in it's golden age (Wrath of the Lich King). We had 12 million players back then. That's nearly 4x as much as today. I mean, 3.5 million is still a lot for a 15 year old game, but losing more than 50% of your playerbase is a objective argument for calling a game dying.
But I don't worry about WoW. Some of these years, they will re-relase WOTLK servers, and that will ressurect WoW.
He's been making his own card game ever since, The Bazaar. And manage Tempostorm of course
He quit playing HS to focus on making his own game. Props to him for actually going through with it, he said from the beginning that he had no intention of trying to compete with a giant like HS but rather wanted to make different kind of CCG that focused more on decision making and less on the RNG clown fest that HS has become. TBH I expected the game of a small indie dev team to look like donkey piss, but it looks... surprisingly good so far.
Double the EXP gain!
