Rewards Track Client Patch - Updated With Gold Swaps For Packs
Blizzard just sent out a client patch with the announced changes to the Reward Track, swapping certain Packs later in the track for Gold rewards. Read the precise swaps below!

Until this hotfix is fully deployed, some players may get the new rewards but still see the old ones. If you reached these milestones before we implemented these changes, you’ll be retroactively compensated up to the level you reached in a future update.
So they throw out piles of Gold while hiding the fact that at those levels the grind will be insane? Cool story.

People being like "Yeah, that's a step in the right direction." NO IT IS NOT LMAO. You still have to grind for like 60 hours to get 300 gold. This whole reward system is, without exxagerating, the worst move Team 5 could make. Totally unnecessary. Nobody asked for it. Only reason it exists is more profit for Activision and, because most of us aren't mentally disabled, we saw through it right away. Gg Blizzard.
I still want the 10g for every 3 wins though
New reward system is equal or even better compared to old when you ONLY calculated quest rewards itself and forget about 10 gold for 3 wins. I dont know if it is a system mistake they made or it was made intentionally to try to make more money. Why they keep telling that new system is better then?
I dont need numbers to compare systems, cause it is so obvious that new system is bullshit. Personally i like the game and besides quests i got 40-50 gold per day for playing and winning in old system (not even 100). So daily quest 50-60 plus 40-50 for wins, so it was 1 PACK per day. Every day if i want. Now it is impossible, even if i play a lot more.
And btw im not completely F2P player. I spent a lot of money when i started to play. And even later when i got my collection and got 1 pack per day i bought small bundles time to time cause HS was barely playable as F2P game. Now they implemented system that force me to buy expensive bundles every 3 monthes or my game experience will be significantly reduced. Isnt it greed? Is Blizzard experiencing financial problems? As far as i know whole gaming industry earning a LOT more money during this covid-19 lockdowns and bullshit.
is that all? I got 500 gold per week at level 33, when in the old season I got +-1500 per week

OLD:
60*7=420 for quests
100 (max per day) * 7 = 700
700 + 420 = 1120 max
NEW:
400 exp/hour * 5 (you played not less than 5 hours a day if you reached 100g every day) = 2000exp /day * 7 days = 14000
900 exp/quest * 7 days = 5600
1750*2 + 2000 exp/week = 5500
5500 + 5600 + 14000 = 25000 exp
after 33 level with 25000 exp you reach 38 level which gives you 900 gold and a tavern ticket (150g)
so in total you might have 1120 gold in the old system and now you can have 900 +ticket.
I think they need to add about 10-15% to the ranked play experience and the problem is solved.

I think you forgot that you can get XP by completing achievements, and not just a few.
you counted wrong, in the old system I could collect up to 15,000 gold for 4 months and in the new system I will not be able to collect so much, blizzard cheated us and fucked up the system, I prefer 10 gold for 3 wins
400 exp/hour is a lie, and not present in reality. You can watch your exp yourself, it's not anywhere close.
You haven't played 4 months with the new system yet, so how can you tell?

I'm still wondering why a little bonus 20 XP/(win*1.2*turns played) (just an example couldn't be squeezes in rather quickly, but maybe Blizz is short on staff these days :)

If you start your post by saying that this statement from Ben or whatever his name is, has resolved the issue then there’s no need for anyone to read your post any further.
You were obviously not affected by the missing quests, you didn’t get ticket responses from support saying that a relog will fix it due to the hotfix, it didn’t!), you didn’t even go into the trouble of considering that two weeks ago, the same guy who is now apologising was saying that the new system is great for all players. They were working on this for months, do you think he did not know??

Agreed. The new reward system is a big, sticky, middle finger to all hardcore gold farmers. And it's mine too. Enjoy it.

Here is some of my own Math presuming you ONLY go for level 50 -
It's a 4 month rotation for each Reward track and "SHOULD" be possible to hit level 50.
Levels 6/7/9/11/13/14/16/18/19/21/22/24 = 100gp (total 1200 gp)
Levels 16/28/29/31/32/33/34 = 150gp (total 1050 gp)
Levels 36/37/38/39/40/41/42/43/44 = 200gp (total 1800 gp)
Levels 45/46/47/48/49 = 300 gp (total 1500 gp)
Grand total of GP earned by lvl 50 = 5550 gp
Note: every level there after is 150 GP and still creates the same scaling xp need per additional level.
Even taking the lowest GP quest previously at 50gp we see this:
50gp * 7 = 350/week
350 * 16 = 5600 gp
So as it sits right now WITHOUT additional leveling or even the 10gp bonus per win we had before, the new ranked rewards are only 50 gp lower than before in a 4 month cycle.
However!!
If we take into account the wins per day for an additional 10 gp – and assuming you ONLY go for the single 10 gp reward of 3 wins. (meaning you only play till you win 3 games that day).
That is an additional 1220 gp in that 4 month time frame.
Now the gap between the old system and the new system a total of 1270gp.
That is the equivalent value of another 9 levels (level 59) on the new system
Or another 38,300 xp – Which is another 3 weeks of XP grinding as per outofcards calculations.
Now that I have laid out a BASIC idea of what the math looks like – you can decide if it’s adequate or not.
