It feels like Secret, No Minion and Elemental mage might all be viable.

The thing is, you can see this being telegraphed if you see a Mage suddenly start playing elementals.  Knowing it's coming is very important to being able to deal with it.

They just gave mage a new firefly...

Yeah, and it's better than firefly too.  They can jam 3+ elementals on the previous turn.  But again, you'll see it coming.

For example, Paladin can play their new counterspell secret.

Stop acting like the counterspell is going to be a thing. If you paladin counter spell this, there's a 50% chance the mage is still going to fill their board with minions whether they be trents, frost elementals, or 6-costs. There's also the chance that they clear the board and fully heal.

Or clear their own board, summon nonexistant murlocs and beasts, or heal you.

Knowing that they probably exhausted the number of cheap elementals from their hand, I guess they'd still risk it as there's no playing it one turn later, but most of those 8 mana spells are not what you'd want instead of 3 or 4 8/8 on the board. Like getting 2/2 instead, buffing a board that isn't full, and I'm not talking about the 1/10 chance of a Tip the Scales: 8 Mana do nothing and skip your turn.

It would really suck to see a secret pop up after dumping all those elementals.
