A 1 mana shadowcaster in hand by copying it with a 2nd shadowcaster. Be deathknight valeera. Play elekk, cloak of shadows (you’ll need prep for the first cycle), shadowcaster the elekk, then copy shadowcaster with valeera hero power. You now have infinite elek, infinite shadowcaster, and infinite cloak of shadows. Main problem with this is that the opponent can also put spells in your deck, so you might have to wait till almost the end of the game.
Pls more pandas next pack i smell it
Remember kids, attack with your hero BEFORE you play this.
Damn. Currently rogue has a lot of combo potentials, but not much stalling cards. Maybe this will help rogue pull off her shenanigans more often.
One added benefit to being in stealth is that you can't be targeted by randomly targeted spells as well...
Something something... Yogg...
Something something... Rod of Roasting...
I feel like there is a spell heavy rogue deck out there somewhere that's going to be able to do this. Not guaranteed, but I'd like to see it happen eventually.
And you are wrong. Random spells can still hit and target you. Only your opponents spells from hand and his minions cant. So forget anything you wrote about it.
Are you sure? I feel like I've had spells from Yogg box and Solarian Prime totally whiff hitting stealthed minions on the other side of the board, because they can't be targeted by spells, so even randomly targeted spells can't hit them.
Unless that was an evasive minion... but isn't it effectively the same thing when it comes to targeted spells?
Yes I am sure. Random stuff still can hit you. It was just luck in your case.
Ah, I see. Thank you for the clarification.
Rogue brought back to standard the DK shadow cloak, but currently it won’t see play unless Malygos Rogue or any slower Rogue deck become viable
Honestly people have been putting stealth on Heroes in the custom card community for ages, and we only got it once with Valeera DK. Pretty cool, but probably unplayable. If it cycled it would probably be really good defensively, this is too slow and Rogue doesn't have control decks that really need this form of protection.
If the meta becomes so aggressive that Rogues need a break from wide boards, yeesh, I think everybody would be pretty unhappy about that.
They put this card in so you could play that ogre with the 50% chance to hit the right guy.
For the highlight reel
Thing is, it’s time out for a class like rogue, which is farrrrr more effective than it is for a class like Paladin.
I dunno. Paladin used it to stall for combo decks, leading the opponent to overcommit into board clears. Rogue has no board clears and no combo decks right now. It'd be using it for aggro purposes mostly.
How does it fit for aggro? :-O
Stealth but still can be hit by hunter hero power, arcane missiles etc.
Still not bad to avoid a board of minions.
Time Out! but two levels of rarity higher and it doesn't nullify untargetted damage? Thanks Blizz, very cool.
I can see me in future, screaming because my opponent discovered the fifth consecutive Cloak of Shadows out of an Ethereal Lackey
A slightly worse Time Out!
I'd argue that, in context, this is significantly better than Time Out! because rogue lacks any reliable healing while paladin has no problem healing up. Any damage mitigation rogue gets comes at a premium.
