will secret mage come back to standard? Needs more support to be honest, but getting a 4 mana 8/8 is bonkers
In Wild Secret Mage is already very oppressive and adding another very strong tool to their arsenal seems unwarranted. In my opinion this should be 5 mana, so at least it doesn't curve perfectly after a turn 3 secret. Not that mages ever play secrets for 3 mana with all the numerous OP secret cost reduction tools they have. If 4 mana, 4/4 is too strong as it is very difficult to clear 2 of these on turn 4. Should be 4/2 or 4/3 at most - in this way it still gives you an attacking tempo, but at least opponent can trade and use a spell to clear.
Also, with the amount of tools reducing the secret costs, it will be very easy to pull out 2 of these cards in the same turn. At least it is an epic, but I think this is too powerful in it's current form.
In Wild you have Eater of Secrets and Kezan Mystic, but they are both 4 mana and will still be difficult to counter the opponent before he pulls out the Conjurer. However, in Standard I don't see much counters to this.
Who play wild in 2020 LUL
Anyone who wants to enjoy the full breadth and wealth of cards, archetypes, mechanics, and interactions in Hearthstone and not be stuck with the same 3 to 5 decks in ladder for months. LUL
Occult Conjuerer is sick! I wonder what it would be like to play Secret Mage in wild. With all the secrets and cards to cheapen out secrets. Now you gotta worry about playing Minions, Spells, heck even not doing damage to them haha. Love it!
This card is insane in secret mage wild. 4 mana 8/8? With all the bs with counterspell and duplicate... I hate playing against secret mage and oh look they just got a 4 manda 8/8
Honestly I was going to quit the game but as it seems they are pushing for a secret mage (probably tempo or burn, I hope) AND also Dudes paladin: Two archetypes that I really have fun playing. Sooo....based on the other cards to come...if there is more support for these two I am staying!!!
This might help secret mage make the cut in standart with jandice or cloud prince as a follow up, but for wild i dunno. Although a strong card, what can you cut from an already perfectly refined deck to put it in? Perhaps the portal secret so you dont rely on random 4 drops? Many decks do not even run Netherwind, or just run a single copy of it or the synergies. Yes secret mage doesnt have a 4 drop, except for fireball, so the question is do you want to cut burst for better board and just lose to a voidcaller triggering explosives runes and summonig a void lord, and you just dont have the fireball burst?
Same goes for the new secret aswell, really strong, but you have aluneth + all the other secret drawing cards.
Again it can maybe make the cut for standart, especially after rotation when tempo mage will lose mana cyclone and ray frost etc. and maybe blizz decides to focus more on minion tempo mage
Damn that's good. Powerful enough to be added to secret mage in wild too.
Seems like the developers reeeally like to play Secret Mage in Wild
Between this and Rigged Faire Game, mage might actually have a chance this expansion. We know from Scholomance pure paladin that you only really need one or two really good cards to carry a class for an expansion. I can't even be upset if this results in an annoying to play against mage archetype, it'd be the first time mage has been good in standard since...god, I have no idea. Two set rotations at least.
small spell mage was tier 1 for all of scholomance? What are you talking about mage feels great without being too oppressive.
will prolly be nerfed to 3/3 or 3/4 if secret mage is deemed oppressive
Secret mage is opressive in wild since it's existence.
Im talking standard
This is OP, this must will be nerfed!!!!
I'm calling it right now! This card will be nerfed to 5 mana
Jeez.so many good secret synergies... the only issue is you can't run all of them
Would Wilde secret mage run this?
Probably yes)
