It's not just good for some sort of OTK demon hunter, it's in general an insane 4 cost card and it will be really good in tempo DH because of the high health. If you opponent can only trade it away with trades it'll deal a tonne of damage without attacking.

Il'gynoth is actually a minor old god. So the same 'race' as Yogg / C'thun

Strange stats... The health seems a bit high for something that powerful. I could see that being nerfed to 5 or 4 in the future.

Early contender for a nerf. DH would have no problem slotting this in, especially with mana reduction. People seem to be forgetting that yes, DH needs healing but they also have 2 copies of Aldrichi. They can swing with lifesteal first and then use the insane burst damage with the second half.

Hell, even if you kept both Twin Slice, on turn 8 that's 20 damage from hand. 

Also, it's not just the weap; Eye Beam is now 3 to face.  Soul Cleave is 4 to face. It turns non face damage cards into face damage cards without harming their primary effect.

 If you consistently deal 24 damage like you do with 12 then it is better. If you only deal 24 damage once every 20 games vs 12 every 5 games then 12 dmg is by far better.

Eye beam and Soul Cleave are Control Cards. Why do you want control cards in an aggressive deck? You can make a case for Eye Beam with Altruis but Soul Cleave?

What people fail to realize is Demon Hunter really REALLY needs the lifesteal from the cards it's currently using with lifesteal.  So this is not something you can just chuck down and start shooting eye beams off, it would most likely be used as a finisher with warblades and a bunch of second slices.

Remember last patch how many people were sure Ace Hunter Kreen was the most broken card ever and sure to be nerfed?  How did that work out?

DH doesn't really need that lifesteal when he can smack your face for a lot of damage thanks to this card.

The Demon Hunters I play against are using lifesteal to stay alive until they can chain together enough burst to kill you.  This is just a different route to burst, which they already have.

Not nearly as impressive as it seems. At most i think its a Knuckles with slightly broader applications. Its hard to do big attack warblade stuff with it because it costs 4 mana.
