Has anybody asked how Guess the Weight works if your next card is the same cost as what you got? That would be an automatic loss right? No dice?
As someone who missed out on the fun of the old gods the first time around, I am really excited to play with these new cards.
Say what you will about Yogg, but I'm here for some silliness, so I can't wait to see what it can do!
and it doesn't stop pyroblasting even if Yogg dies!
I'm gonna buy this pre-release just because Elder gods are back
you mean old gods..
You mean elder trolls LoL
Clearly a Lovecraft reference but you already know that
What does Corrupt and Corrupted do? How do you trigger it on the Pearltusk for example? I didn't catch the stream.
As long as you play a card with higher mana cost than the card with corrupt while it is still in your hand, the card will become corrupted
If you play a higher cost card while a card with corrupt is in your hand it gets the corrupt bonus. So when the 5 mana elephant is in your hand and you play a card that costs 6 or more the elephant becomes an 8/8 with rush. Ysaarj adds any cards you've played with their corrupt bonuses to your and, and they come already corrupted.
When you play a card that costs more while it's in your hand, it triggers the corrupt effect causing it to become corrupted and get the bonus permanently.
Druid Meta incoming. Me and my boy shaman crying deeply...
Like I said earlier, this meta will be cancer. All the old gods are major swing "deal with this now or you lose" cards.
Can already see all the C'thun control/draw druids and rogues already. Yogg will be in every RNG mage deck for even more RNG. N'Zoth I think will be a dead card unless it gets some support for Rez priest by adding a bunch of new minions of all types that a rez priest can use properly. Y'Shaarj is another 'clear the board then refill your hand' type bs we've come to expect.
The rabbit won't be used as it is a 10 mana kill 1-3 minions. Silas is another nail in the coffin in Big minion decks as there's too many clears, minion steal, and saps in the meta already for it to be a tier 1 deck. Priest can easily use it to play a crap minion from gala then swap that with the enemies. Fortune Teller is a dead card outside of generating it from gala as priest has way better 5 costs. A lot of this other stuff appears to be heavy into control.
Yogg is one RNG card. The world will continue to turn I promise. C'Thun control/draw decks have been around before, it will be ok if they return. Most likely aggro will still rule the meta so I don't know why your panties are in a wad. N'Zoth is 100% a rez priest type card, which I'll admit, was an annoying archetype, but so is SMORC hunter and aggro demon hunter. Y'Shaarj cost 10 mf mana, of course it will have big board impact.
It appears they are pushing for control decks to come back, and after seeing quite a few meta's ravaged by aggro, I think instead of being whiny, you should see what happens and then make judgements.
This yogg is the most oppresive card to play against since shudderwock
Killer Bunny is that you ?
RUN AWAY!
What if Solar Eclipse in electra?
Isn't Electra a shaman card? The eclipse cards appear to be druid.
Guess we can try it out in a rogue burgle deck!
Most likely, it wont do anything ("twice", unlike "one more time" doesn't stack, for example look at Brann and shaman quest).
