Make a Standard deck to compete with the best! Stakes are high, the competition intense. More wins means more rewards. Can you make it to 12 wins, or will 3 losses end your run?

If you have a great deck for this brawl, create it in our deckbuilder, and share it with the world! Just make sure to label the Deck Type as a "Tavern Brawl" while saving and it might show up on the front page!

The fact that hey put gambling in a game like this, is on itself disgusting. That blizzard also refuses to make the first entry free, even though most players would get minimal returns out of it, is pure greed.

Posted Sep 23, 2020 (Scholomance Academy)I honestly really like the risk reward balance in this brawl - not because of it being "worth it" statistically, but because of the heightened stakes. I just wish it was draft like in arena. The players that would be most incentivized to take a high risk for a high reward are ones that probably don't already have the content that they desire (cards and dust). Having pre-made decks is weighted in the favor of people who already have most of what they need (e.g. legendary and epic cards that play an important role in decks). It's true that draft includes more chance than pre-made, but in my opinion, it's more fair for newer players and people who don't put money into the game.

On the other hand tho with the Jaina hero thingy I have to agree with the devs. They never said there will be new emotes in the first place. They even gave you 5 packs for the same prize. And on top of that I don't think they held a gun to your head that you MUST buy that bundle. They are even willing to make those emotes they never promised you to be part of the stuff you bought.

Posted Sep 24, 2020 (Scholomance Academy)It might be worthwhile considering that there is a virus that has killed nearly a quarter-million people in the US, forcing Blizzard and everyone else to impose "work from home" orders on their employees. Presumably, it's pretty difficult producing a card game when no one is actually at the office - so far, we've been lucky that the main HS content promised for 2020 has been unaffected. In order to push three expansions and a new game mode on schedule, it appears that folks have been taken off peripheral HS projects like TBs and PvE content - we haven't seen a new TB in months, and the PvE content hasn't been very engaging this year. All things considered, if the HS weekly "free pack" dispenser only works fifty-one times this year, the sky isn't exactly falling.
