Maybe blizzard learns their lesson to not make the rewards as punishing for new or casual players next time. To make up for the money or gold you spent you have to win around 6-7 games, 67-70% winrate, which is really hard if you don't have the optimal cards or if you're new to the game. Hopefully someone afilliated with or working at blizzard sees this thread and tries to improve on the format.

It does not make sense for new players. They pay a massive 1000 gold to get 2-3 packs.
It does not make sense for experienced players. Even as a high legend player with a choice of top decks you need to get very lucky to hit that 70% win rate simply to break even.
It does not make sense for those 0.1% of pro players. They invest loads of time to get the cards they already have.

So who is it for???

hm, 1000 for potentialy a pack and me feeling like a loser times 3, not only for losing games but throwing resources to burn and watch pro players gaining cards that they already have. No thanks, i  have the same amount of dust buying a pack  in the shop for  100 gold

Come on guys ,be reasonable about it .Just keep buying whatever Blizzard offers you. The new ugly Jaina with some useless packs,brewliseum fee , battleground fee, and etc.Think about all those hungry developer's kids who need their college paid ,new pair of Nike's ,dinners in Trump's plaza . I mean this guys are going through tough times now,and they need every dollar ! Pay,donate ,do whatever it takes to help them .Blizzard live matters !

Heh, I wanted to totally stop playing  Hearthstone and only thing that was tempting me to fall back playing, was the wait of tavern brawl.

So its like you need 7 wins that its just worth the 1k gold (8 packs + 280 gold = 80 gold value for playing 7 or more games).

You need like 9 wins that it worths the work you put in there. For that you need to play a rock paper scissor - deck and need a lot of luck to meet the right decks and get the right cards. I dont know..

It's high time, those buy-in Tavern Brawls move to their seperate category.

I'd rather play 7 arena runs with 1000 (1050) gold, and guarantee to get 7 packs back.

Of course this Brawl's rewards are quite high at 9 wins or higher, but it also requires meta decks.

12 wins is great sure, if you can repeat it , it's probably the best gold to dust conversion ever seen, but requires a minimum 85.71% winrate with the same deck. (12 wins, 2 losses, 14 games in the worst case)

9 wins - 3 loss = 75% winrate (81.82% winrate to get to 9 wins 2 losses)

10 wins - 3 loss = 76.92% winrate (83.33% winrate to get to 10 wins 2 losses)

11 wins - 3 loss = 78.57% winrate (84.62% winrate to get to 11 wins 2 losses)  

Now the question is, will Blizzard using this Deck data to analyze buffs/nerfs in a contained "ladder" environment?

I mean, well, of course the third loss is at the end. The third loss IS the end.

But you're right: it's definitely not worth the money. Even when you got to 8 wins and come away with 9 packs, 300 gold and 300 dust, that is still only equivalent to about 15 packs. Paying 1000 gold for 15 packs doesn't feel like a 'great' deal. Sure, it's quite good, but not if you have to invest so much time, effort and emotion in it.

RegisKillbin made a video about it. At the 10 minute mark he opens the rewards for 8 wins and realises there and then, that it's JUST NOT WORTH IT:

But a simple win/loss ratio calculation doesn't take into account a 3rd loss happening at the last game so you need to have a higher winrate to climb.

I play it just because I like the competition and pressure. Was my first run 6 wins? sure. but it felt good to do that well, even though I know I barely got the value of my 1000 gold. I just love tournaments. 

thats exactly my thoughts, its just fun to play. 

I also got 6 wins on my first try with rogue. But do I care ? Hell no! The tournament feeling is great and I loved it.

I guess waiting time is HUGE on this one haha.

This is a Blizzard joke. You pay € 9.99 or 1000g, if you don't win any games, you get a pack of cards. Where is the logic? Apart from that, you have no chance against the current meta decks. Where's the fairness, where's the fun?

this brawl is a lame sad excuse to manipulate you to CONSUME. why? BECAUSE YOU CANT WIN VS THE OTHER META DECKS. so u will need to use the same decks over and over because u have no choice. theres no place to experiment if everyone uses the best winrate decks. so u need to waste tons of cash to open packs to get cards, craft..dust..to get a tier 1 deck to be able to compete.

its so stupid and repetitive. this brawl is an INSULT. shame on u bliztard. and a big f*** u for not giving me a free pack.
