I don't know maybe I am wrong, but I don't like this. IMO if they do this with this card back why they dont just do it with all? and if they do it with all, why players would care about getting the card backs anymore when they can buy them whenever they want, I understand is a cool cardback but if you are doing this with only this one in particular why not just give it for free after doing some sort of interesting quest and if you have it get some extra gold instead, but 500g or 3$ is a rip off in my opinion and I don't really like it.
they really have time for such useless thing in game.. WAKE UP BLIZZARD !
No, sleep!
HAHAHHAHAH
nobody force you to buy it if you thing its not worth the price dont buy it
this is the dumbest argument evet
500 gold still. Not a good price at all but people were stupidly quick to pay that much for the nax card back blizzard saw it to be fine to charge that much from now on. OR $3!!!!! FOR A CARD BACK!
That is a very biased and assumptous opinion that you state as a fact my friend.
As already said, that back holds value of different extend (mostly low I assume) but nontheless.
Still very little effort was used to get it so why denying it other players?
You will never know how many cardbacks your specific opponent will have or where they got them.
And we aren't talking about a "year '15 collection" of cardbacks either, but one.
I really don't see the big issue other than ones uncle scrooge mentality.
A cardback is mostly for yourself anyway.
I really want this one
I doubt they'd re-release pre-order exclusive card backs since people paid for them (with the bundle)
next version of "fuck you veteran players" and "let me grab some free cash"
When new players get the opportunity to BUY something which older players got for FREE, how is that a fuck you to the people who got it for free? Seriously? If you started playing back then you've got somewhere near 100 (free) card backs while you can only use one any way, who gives a flying fuck honestly.
it may not matter to you but it's a collectors item, its value is reduced now because someone that started last week has the same card as someone who has been playing since commencement. When you see someone with this card back now you don't say wow this guy is one of the original hearthstone players you say... I wonder if this guy paid $5 to buy a card with a cupcake. It matters.
1. Then use one of the other cardbacks from 2015? Ôo
2. "I wonder if this guy paid $5 to buy a card with a cupcake". Why would you wonder if someone payed for a sleeve or got it as a gift? The method of acquiring just does strike as bad to you bc you feel that you have moral highground based on how long you played.
3. You know collectors buy stuff all the time, right? You don't have the privilege to buy a painting first bc you were collecting paintings for a longer time than lil' Timmy here.
4. "wow this guy is one of the original hearthstone players" No. That is just in your mind. They think: "Oh god, no. Not again a fully fledged cancer netdeck on rank 6 silver"
5. And most importantly the deed is done. I don't want to sound rude but the phrase "tough luck" can be applied here.
In general this discussion is nonsensical. BlizzardActivision will do what they do and there will always be a certain group of people crying about it.
So basically you're upset that somebody might see you using this card back and think that you paid for it?
so I actually made a video talking about how blizz treats their veteran players.. I also reacted to your comments guys which to me seems that you are comparing completely different things but I talk about it.. the link is set right at the time I go for your comments.

Honestly tho, "Well you obviously care since you wrote the comment" is just a bit of a nonsense statement to degrade my comment without actually replying to it.
So to double up on it: My first card back is the green one from early 2014 and I would not care one tiny bit if Blizzard decided to put it up for sale. It's a silly thing to worry about. Also, Blizzard has always been upfront about wanting to implement new ways to acquire old card backs in the future so there shouldn't be any surprises here.
Goodbye and good luck with your yt channel
Apart from ‘tough luck Blizzard can do what they like the rest doesn’t make much sense.
They have set the precedent now, all cards backs will be coming back so you can’t use a different card back from 2015 or any other year as there is now no longer any collector value.
Sure collectors buy things all the time but they buy the original this is like re releasing the X-men comic first edition or LEGO releasing 1980 Death Star collections in identical packaging or Magic releasing its first edition again.
This is the digital equivalent of this with the value of this possession (sentimental or otherwise) being wiped.
"the rest doesn’t make much sense. "
The reason behind my points 2 and 4 were actually exactly this. Your points make no sense.
The parts I quoted are some imaginary constructs that never happen, outside of your own mind.
And even if, you wouldn't know.
"They have set the precedent now, all cards backs will be coming back"
Blizzard did give an old card back in a tavern brawl ... last year (or '18?).
Also, Brode said somewhere (can't find the post), that they wanted old cardbacks to be reobtainable for players at a certain point already.
That said, I haven't found a post where it states that ALL cardbacks will be purchasable in the near future or at all either.
It sadens me that you think your cardback loses value just bc others can have it too (We don't have the numbers if people are actually buying them).
You know when or where you got it. How does it devalues the sentimental worth?
Sentimental value (and in this case there is not more than that) can't be "wiped". Didn't you obtain the back 2015 all of a sudden?
@Twitchy I actually came back to you later but I get that you watched just the start of it but thanks for replying in such a nice way.. I am actually surprised that you would not care even about the almost oldest cardback
@Reacherl its cool that you just go and act like you are the one who knows the best about what people think when they see a certain card back. You are comparing cardbacks to freaking sleeves but somehow you are the on who can guess what people assume when they see something. My POV is right and yours is not :D
