I like to believe that this will help devs see the problematic cards/combos so they can nerf them sooner rather than later.
Then again, I also believe in the tooth fairy.
Indeed that's not gonna happen. imagine people see these op cards, then they buy the expansion. When it is released, they see their lovely cards got nerfed.
Gender Equality ™: 13 males players and only 3 females.
This is just a meme ok? (-_-)
It's honestly going to be built mainly by jealousy. I don't imagine any of these people would turn down the chance to play a week early, they are just bitter that other people get to.
Exact same complaints in Fifa, streamers get early access and people piss and moan that it kills the hype etc etc, just regurgitate more of the crap you see here. These are just people who are very twisted up inside because they are missing out.
The META doesn't get solved at all. We've all seen the cards, even people who don't have early access and don't watch the streams are already theory crafting and building decks, ready for day 1. Everyone in the community has this opportunity and forums etc will be alive with people discussing them. That will have a far, far bigger impact than a select number of streamers getting to play around and get watched by about 1% of the player base. But of course the people who do complain don't have the ability to consider things in a rational way or think of anything other than themselves which is why they act out and spam twitch or reddit or forums complaining about the meta getting 'solved'.
Its so transparent.
Its not that its solved, its that its not fresh. The most fun in Hearthstone competitve is when people are just theory crafting and trying out random ideas. This usually lasts about 1 to 2 weeks, but with the expansion being streamed beforehand, you will simply face the most popular and strongest decks right from the start. So if you come in with your "genius 200IQ" Druid combo deck, you will barely have room to breath between the Tempo Demon Hunters or the Bomb warriors of the expansion.
Also if you are a fan of streamers, I find them a lot less excited for the drop than normally because they had their experiences already. I get it from Blizzards perspective though, and am still hyped for the expansion myself!
Druidstone confirmed
So you're blaming the last pre-reveal stream for the fact that tempo DH was prevalent on D1 of the expansion? A deck which, as you yourself point out, was eventually nerfed thrice. Like it wasn't painfully obvious that deck was going to be OP? Sure thing, man.
You want to whine about net decking ruining D1 play? Go after the people who are going to rehash aggro decks from the last expansion, unchanged, just to take advantage of experimenting and unrefined archetypes. There'll be plenty of those. Believing that the meta is going to be "solved" during this one stream is an absolute fairytale.
I hate this so much
Didn’t expect net decks on release day this time... next time they bring some in game device to pilot your game, you will just watching and eating popcorn. Where is some creativity and difficulty, difficult is only to highroll now.
I don't watch these - I want to play the new cards myself first, not watch others play with them.
Just posting to add another voice for doing away with these streams. We get a very small window in this game where things are fresh, and a feeling of exploration is in the air. The excitement of launch day has some of the wind taken out of its sails if my ability to experiment is hampered or influenced by an environment flooded with decks tested a week beforehand.
I bet Blizzard imagines these streams hype people up and sell more packs, but it’s the opposite for me anyway.
So... maybe just don't watch?
I absolutely get it if you would rather pass and wait for the expansion to drop, for your own sake. But all these posts whining about Blizzard putting on a stream for those that do enjoy them have to be somewhere in between the most childish and the most selfish thinking I've seen this week. Imagine thinking a one-night stream is going to "figure out the meta" one week before release.
Pre-nerf demon hunter sasys “hi”.
Well let me see did it ever happen? Hmm, only:
Tempo demon hunter
Odd demon hunter
Cube lock
Reno warlock
various types of Zoolock
Mechmage
Quest rogue
Baku paladin
Shudderwock shaman
Midrange shaman
Galokrond shaman
But, i mean its not like some best meta decks have been figured out on day one on stream.
(These are just the ones that came to my mind atm.)
I buy every single bundle of every expansion and I think this is bad idea
Just let everyone test decks on the first few days/weeks at least.
I mean, I find it useful. Most of the players prefer to use whatever is on top of deck lists... At least this promotes using custom decks.
Are you really serious about that "this is the main problem of the game"? They started to do this not so long ago. And the game used to get stale A LOT MORE. Expansions were released and people'd just keep running the same list of Odd Paladin just because it worked. That's the same with Face Hunter, Highlander Hunter, and a lot of other lists.
I'm just tired of this community complaining about Blizzard and not realizing that most of the problems come from the community itself.
This does the exact opposite of what you are saying.
Any evidences? At least for me, seeing Regis testing shenanigans makes me want to test my own shenanigans. Maybe you should add a big IMO in your comment.
If you ever played on ladder on day 2 of any expansion you should know its full of decks streamers played the previous day and had success with. It is just a fact, you can see 100% of the times at expansion launch. I just wonder where have you been playing all these years if you could never observe this obvious phenomenon.
