The problem is how many spells can you realistically pull off in one turn. You could be offered high cost spells you can't afford coupled with low cost spells that are awful. Check the Shaman spells lists, there are a TON of worthless totem spells you will not want to show up.
Instructor Fireheart is great combo'd with the forgotten Dwarven Archaeologist for a miracle spell shaman value generator or burn finisher. The package drops nicely into any spell shaman list;
Nice catch, I have always tried to make decks with DA but they all sucked most of the time. This could actually be nice combo.
This card would be funny with Elemental Destruction when the empty board will trigger to Discover one more spell right ?
This card is like shaman class in this moment: funny but useless.
Shaman has not win conditions, has not infinite value generations, has not aggro strategy.
Too NRG on evolve shaman, too weak murloc shaman, galarkrond shaman is dead, spell shaman atm is ridiculous (shaman spells in standard are s**t),so totem shaman is pure s**t.
Shaman need a new Shudderwock with new win conditions, not a new Elecra stormsurge.
This is a new Elecra stormsurge. Like Ras.
Wait this is just a better version of Spirit of the Frog.
Not really, because the Frog lets you have a good cycle through your deck.
This one is good tho
And Sorcerer's Apprentice goes to the Hall of Fame.
You know, sorcerer is for mage
Definitely a solid card. Nothing overly amazing IMO but strong all the same. You can easily tempo this out on 3 no problem and it's still a 3 mana 3/3 discover a spell, and that's damn good. However, you also love top decking this when at 9 or 10 mana, likely netting you 3+ spells.
Discover is such a powerful ability and arguably the best keyword ever added to the game (In my opinion. Some people hate the RNG aspect of it). Cards that not only let you discover something but lets you do so multiple times is guaranteed to be playable. The only reason this doesn't get a full 5 stars IMO is because you can never truly rely on this to always give you exactly what you need. It can however give you a lot of options in situations where you need answers and THAT is powerful. So, in my opinion, solid 4 star card.
great card. good work blizz
My first gold crafted legend of this expansion
mechanic just seems like Spellburst they couldn't decide on/implement well - so that's quite disappointing especially considering fact that you rarely will get more than 2 spells and Spellburst would very likely improve stats (so 3/4?)
I agree that Art looks very mage'y and non-shamanish ;)
This or Wickerflame Burnbristle, who wins the "WTF is this art doing in this class?" award? Asking the real questions here..
dope
Part of me wonders if this was supposed to be a mage card, but it was changed because it was too strong with Sorcerer's apprentice. I'm pretty sure it would still offer ray of frost and whatnot even when there's an apprentice on board.
nice card. would be good in any control shaman decks
Average card. Most of the time you will end up using trash spells to discover something decent.
Why this is a shaman card? I dont get it lul
Class has some history with repeated effects (Volcano, Healing Rain, Evolution and so forth). Also, it had a legendary which made a spell be casted twice.
