Agree, we did see buffs to Libram of Justice and Aldor Attendant so maybe if this one truly under performs they can slightly decrease the cost. I am still going to assume that the next cards revealed will showcase massive support for Duel Paladin, everything is lining up.
I dont think it deserves quite as much hate as it's getting. Its like a 8 mana 3/9 that kills something, and can remove something else for free if it lives. 9 health is very annoying to deal with.
I think it's a playable card. Shame it's not in a playable class.

They have to be China friendly, so Bli$$ard can keep those international dollars flowing in.
It feels like this would be good in a big minion meta...except that several of the big minions played have a deathrattle that essentially summons a copy of them. This turning a 7/7 in to a 3/3 and then killing it doesn't accomplish much when it just pops back up as a 7/7 again.
Maybe this card counters some things that we haven't seen yet and will fit in to the Scholomance meta. Otherwise, this doesn't do a whole lot when we're in a wide-board meta with very little use of giant chonky bois.
Holy crap... Paladin mains are apparently an INCREDIBLY whiney bunch 😵😵😵
Two things:
1) the single class legendaries have been consistently weaker than the dual class ones BY DESIGN this expansion, so this is zero surprise whatsoever.
2) This is a solid single target removal that totally fits paladin theme over the years. If it didnt have rush you guys could justifiably continue pissing your diapers, but it does have rush AND pally has healing/divine shield so this can go on and on until it gets hit with silence or hard removal. Not bad.
I think what will really make or break this card is if there will be a means to cheat it out, on its own it simply won't be played.
Indeed, Palys have to pray for some Duel mechanic cards. Lets wait and see what comes up...
Look at the list of legendaries again. There's plenty of bad dual-class legendaries (like the druid-hunter one) and plenty of good single class legendaries (like the Demon Hunter one). There's no pattern, just some good and bad legendaries in both categories.
I think the paladin/warrior legendary card is going to support some kind of BIG archetype. The dual class weapon fits the theme, and this legendary with its high cost and rush keyword is just too obviously meant to cheat out some way. No one wants to actually pay 8 mana for this..
No, it's useless. Priest's, Warlock's or any other class that blizzard isn't shitting on for year cards that are rare at most do more that this piece of useless garbage
